Phoenix
OLD: When you die, you instead become immune to all negative effects and healing for 3 seconds. When the effect ends, you heal for 17200 Health and explode for 8600 Flame Damage to all enemies within 8 meters. This effect can occur once every 10 minutes.
NEW: When you drop below 25% Health, gain a damage shield that absorbs 10000 damage for 6 seconds and deals 12500 Flame Damage to nearby enemies. This effect can occur once every 1 minute.
Note for Phoenix, Eternal Warrior, and Immortal Warrior: The “self-resurrect” sets have caused issues where they underperformed in most cases and over-performed in very specific circumstances. We removed their self-resurrect mechanic, but kept the survival and defensive theme these sets offered as well as greatly reducing their cooldowns.
Phoenix had a niche: PvE no death achievements. It was literally used nowhere else in PvE. Now, it won't even get to "under/overperform" anywhere else because it won't be used at all. Its fundamental design was to protect you from death once which it will not do anymore in most endgame PvE content: getting to 25% should be an achievement in itself, considering in most cases, healers wouldn't let you drop that low (because by the time you are trying for no death, you have nearly perfected the fight). Most, if not all, end-game mechanics where you die is due to a one shot or rapid incoming damage because of a mistake you or someone else made: a 6s 10k shield is not going to do anything.
Edit: I know some people think it's a cheese set or whatever. Personally, I don't really care because I have most of the achievements with or without it already. My point here was the justification that it's "only useful in some places" is stupid...because now it's useful nowhere
