Treasure system

Treasure system you need to do something with. All my bags are full of these maps and i am start delete them. I have frustrating feelings about that. Item in treasure chest is absolutely useless. Several times i did mass run in all the lands of Tamriel to collect, it takes a lot of time and brings no satisfaction, only frustration. but then bag is filled again. again and again. Now I just delete them!

You need to make treasure map more rare and valuable. And remove them from the main inventory, they really interfere, and most importantly, occupy precious space!

Thank you.
sorry for my English.

Yeah, just delete them. I run 'em occasionally, usually when I'm clearing surveys, but treasure maps are not worth it on an objective level.

There are several overland sets that bring a good coin. Get the Treasure Hunter CP perk and have at them or sell those maps in a guild store.

Yeah, I should have specified. Some zones, like Rivenspire or Deshaan? It's absolutely worth rolling the dice and seeing what pops out.

    I give them to newbs.

    A suggestion.

Instead of maps, give out map fragments at the same rate we currently receive maps. They would be a generic item that will stack fully in your bag, taking up only one slot. Even better, make it a crafting ingredient so it goes into your craft bag.

You can click the stack to combine 10 fragments into one random map. Yes, this means that any given map is ten times as rare as it is currently.

When you hunt out this treasure, it is 10 times the loot compared to what it is currently.

You free up bag space, make the maps much more useful and potentially quite profitable to either hunt down or sell to others if you aren't interested.

If you make them 10 times rarer and give 10 x the amount of loot you literally have not changed anything at all.
You are getting exactly the same amount and type of loot as you get now.
The only thing you would save that way would be the amount of times you actually have to go and get a chest.

I think the current implementation is OK, they just need to overhaul the loot tables to have a chance to drop some rare items.

The point of my suggestion was to keep the loot similar, but to ease the stress on your bag space and reduce the instances of duplicate maps. It would also increase your loot per minute and decrease travel time. Right now, I don't do maps because the travel time isn't worth it. I can go to that zone, choose a direction and run and within a couple minutes, probably have way more loot than that chest would have gotten me. Now if that run is 10 times the reward for the same effort put in, it feels more beneficial.

They made a similar but smaller change to surveys a while back. They made them twice as rare and doubled the yield. It accomplises what I suggest here. Same amount of reward, but reduces travel time to make it more worth the effort of actually collecting the loot. Your survey acquisition (and in my example, map acquisition) remains unchanged. 10 times as rare with 10 times the reward just like surveys became twice as rare with twice the reward. That was generally regarded as a positive change at the time if I recall correctly.

I've noticed this too. The treasures in the buried chests are extremely underwhelming, considering the work necessary to find them (unless you cheat, and just look online). There should always be something exciting in there.

Would be great if they transferred them from the regular inventory to the quest inventory.

Do them whilst doing surveys. Decon all jewellery / purple items for mats & sell the rest.

Or if i cant be bothered they go on guild trader for small amount.

Would be great if they had additional better drops such as furnishings (not just paintings).

And i wish to gods they could stack!

Even if all you do is vendor the stuff you get from them, you get around 400 gold per chest.

Now, what they could do is let us carry more than one of each map and make them stack like surveys.

That would make it impossible to transfer them to a different character, and I give them to whichever character is currently working on "loot 1000 chests".
