Do I get compensation for this?

They really can't have additive daily login rewards for every day of the month and then take away the first login of the month. Well, they can, of course, but I refuse to take it anymore. The last thing I need at the end of a busy day is to feel like I failed something because someone else can't get their act straight.

On the other hand, they put the "big prizes" at the 2/3rds point through the month, instead of on the last day (like many monthly systems do).

So they've already planned for unexpected missed days.

edit: looked at the July Daily Rewards thread. It's 5k gold. Oooh. Aaah. That's not even worth the time it took to read this thread.

It is for me, at the moment.

    Every little helps.

So since I was too stupid not to log in before 19:30 today, me as an eso plus member wont get my dailys done among other things. I am not sure I got the daily login reword either. Will I get compensated for this once server is back up or will they just ignore the affected players and we just have to not give a ***, like the solution to everything in this game have been so far?
If the server was down for everyone, it would be more understanding, but when only some are affected thats my point.

Me, as an ESO+ member failed to see the imoportance of being ESO+ member in this.

The fact people are paying (albeit not directly, I know) and can't access the game.

If they were playing for free and not paying for anything on a regular basis, they would presumably not require, or expect, any form of compensation.

    Compensation?
    I want a refund.
ZOS should give us minimum one month free membership because of the s... we were all going thru.

People are pissed because it's not a solitary incident. Every patch or so we get something like that and it shouldn't be acceptable. You'd be angry at any other service provider if it were to happen to them.

As for daily rewards, yeah, 5k is not a big loss, but one day in a vacation season can be problematic. You want to go somewhere and still have a chance at snagging that costume? This one day can make all the difference to you. So don't go dismissing your fellow customers in defence of a corporation. Unlike the corporation, they are on your side.

Read the ToS that you (and everyone) agreed to.

You are not entitled to compensation for server down time for maintenance/updates.

I didn't log in the last 2 days so I lost those login rewards. 5k gold or so I think.

Oh well. Not a big deal and I don't care nor expect compensation

Must ZOS compensate players? No, of course not.

Should ZOS compensate players? That's a different question.

The OP admits he didn't log in on time to complete the update and lost the 5K gold daily reward and now expects "compensation" for that. Really? Talk about entitlement.

It's not ZoS fault he neglect to log in. Many of us leave our computers on to get the update while we sleep or at work. I left mine on while we had dinner and did some house hold chores.

And really we are talking about 5k gold in a video game. You can earn 5K gold in less than 10 minutes.

Compensation for game breaking server instability in the case of EU is another arguement.

@Itacira we aren't talking about server instability. The OP wants compensation for losing 5K gold because he/she didn't log in on time get the update. What exactly is ZoS supposed to compensate for?

As for your point on server instability. Results vary. Some people experience a lot of problems, others not so much. I rarely have disconnects and I don't often experience game crushing lag while others do.

You and others can certainly try to file a class action lawsuit.
    Good luck with that though.
Others have threatened to do so in the past but we have never seen it actually happen as far as I know.

Otherwise your only other course of action is to cancel your ESO+ if you have it, stop buying crowns, stop playing the game and hope enough others do the same to make the point. Again, good luck with that.

oooor, instead of resigning ourselves to the helplessness that you've so described, we can gather on the forums as a vocal community of very unhappy customers.

Good for you if you don't get server issues, though I'm pretty sure yesterday's EU logging in problems were widespread. As for OP, while I can't claim to know what they're thinking, if it's anything like me here's how it goes : it's not normal that come consumers of this product are advantaged compared to others even though we very probably pay the same thing. Even if it's ''only'' 5K (and on that subject ymmv), you can bet that it's unacceptable.

I'm glad you don't feel this way, for your own comfort, and understand that you may want to remain comfortable, but while you're there those of us who don't will respectfully tell ZOS to get their stuff together and own up to their responsibility

ZoS is not responsible for the fact that the OP didn't log in on time to get a daily reward that the OP admitted he could have logged earlier on his own volition. The OP stated "Since I was too stupid not to log in before....."

    I'm all for legitimate complaints.

Server issues, such as what the EU server has been going through are very legitimate complaints.

Complaining about not getting a daily reward because you choose not to log in on time is your problem, not ZoS'

I mean, the 5K gold really helps put food on my table, pays for the roof over my head, the car I use to drive to work and electricity to run the computer I use to play a game for fun.

I really could die without that 5k gold, it's just that important to my life.

''Will I get compensated for this once server is back up or will they just ignore the affected players and we just have to not give a ***''

Pretty sure OP meant that they logged on, didn't get daily reward expecting TO BE ABLE TO LOG IN LATER IN THE EVENING, and they were unable to do so for reasons.

That being said, if you don't care about the 5k then good for you. Go on your merry way. Enjoy your day. Your posting in here doesn't show a lack of care though. I mean, putting food on the table doesn't rely on commenting here, hopefully, and yet you take much of your precious time to bother telling people how they should be feeling about the server issues and missing on rewards.

Let's see, my EU account has been completely stuck for almost 4 MONTHS!!! I have missed every daily login reward and missed daily writs and max level hirelings with 15 max level characters, now it's 4th event I'm missing, I don't even know how many event tickets I've missed by now. I tried to ask support about getting missed daily rewards and ESO+ statuettes, only clear answer I got was they don't know yet how they address the membership statuettes in my situation and nothing about daily rewards. They are aware about my stuck account and investigating, all my support tickets closed now out of frustration. My ESO losses are absolutely catastrophic at this point and no one simply cares even skeever's arse, so take a zenitastic guess how much they bother with your very minor losses when they are dealing with all the Elsweyr fun features now once again.

You know what? I really could care less about what the OP meant or didnt mean.

Bottom line is he/she is not entitled to compensation, period.

It is 5000 gold coins you can earn in 10 minutes in game. 5000 gold coins of FAKE money that has absolutely no meaning to real life whatsoever.

It's just absolutely absurd and petty to worry about not getting 5000 gold of FAKE video game money.
