Stockings, suspenders, sports bra, satin gloves, hockey mask (sometimes balaclava), football shoulder pads, army boots. 2 knuckle dusters and a dickie bow...

    Baseball bat, pool cue (offhand).

That's just for going to the mall.

I get you. Live near one of the top five most dangerous cities in the U.S. on a side note, why does balaclava have to be so close in spelling to baklava, cuz now I'm hungry. ;)

But in all seriousness, my experience with other games that had this just led to kicks and bad blood between players. Thankfully ESO doesn't have a gear score either.

This community is not mature enough for gear inspection.

Besides you have ESO logs now, you can just find out what others around you are wearing by paying attention to what combats you were both in and check the log.

You guys are all talking about gear as though the only thing people care about is the set. Yes, people care about what set they wear for the set bonuses and whatnot. But that isn't all to gear. There are people in the game, myself included, for whom a style preview would be a great thing. You know style and set are not the same thing, so knowing what style someone's armor is won't allow another person to know what sets they've combined. Not everyone wears the costumes. I do sometimes but I also like to build my sets in a combination of styles that I like so I don't have to wear a costume. Then I dye it in colors that appeal to me. Not everyone wants to go to an outfit station and pay gold to make their gear look like other styles. It's bad enough we have to pay gold for each color we change. So I'm of the opinion that a preview option would be a fantastic addition to the game. Many sets aren't crafted so there it doesn't matter about what it looks like. You don't have a choice of style in that case. But those of you who are at endgame cannot have forgotten the time before you were able to run all that vet content on hard mode to earn all that great gear, and had to rely on your crafting skills for your best stuff. Not everyone is where you are yet, and there are a lot of different things that matter to the millions of people who play this game. Keep that in mind before you declare any feature suggestion "completely useless."

Style inspection, sure I have no issues with that.

The problem is we talk about the mechanical/sets side because that's the side which is going to cause issues due to some players attitudes.

So go play ff14 then. Have fun grinding those tomes and having content become irrelevant in a few months. You conveniently left out pvp in 14 too, which is absolutely terrible. The game is optimized a hell of a lot better than eso, but it's a snooze fest.

Inspect option seems like a harmless thing (people wanting to know what style you are wearing etc.) but the reality it is always dominated by the elitist who use it to judge/boot players from groups. Sad really. The game is better off without an "inspect" option.

It's still useless and not needed because you can still simply ask the other person what style their gear is.

There is literally no point in this. Gear is such a small part in what makes up a person's DPS, survivability, and so on. Player skill, CP, food/drink, potions, and experience all play as big a part in things, with overall player skill being the biggest factor in how a person performs. If you want to know what someone is wearing just ask them, but you aren't entitled to know what someone is wearing regardless of whether it's PvE or PvP.

Why do you even need this?
You can always ask if curious.
ESO is less about gear than rotation and understanding game mechanics anyways.
If you are in serious score pushing where this is actually relevant you know what your team mates are wearing anyways.
    I would prefer bug fixes...

This is something casuals say because they dont wanna spend 8 rosins upgrading their staff. And if it doesn't matter, why you care if this is in the game or not then? So reading your comment make me understand so far that you dont want it because you dont think it's needed in the game right? Then explain all the other 99% of the game that are here but not needed at all pls.

I don't care if it's in the game it will make 0 difference to me either way.
I just don't think it is needed and would prefer resources spent on bugs...
By the way gold gear is nothing to someone who has been playing since console release...
But feel free to insult and call me a casual if it gets your rocks off, that as well as an inspection feature makes no difference to me in the slightest...

Lol, this thread is getting pretty entertaining. As I said earlier, the ability to inspect is already here. We’re using it, we know what gear you’re using, we know your DPS, and your skills, your rotation, how many times you die, how many times you rez allies, which targets you were focusing and which you ignore. Worst case there might be a chuckle between “elitist end gamers”, nobody is getting kicked from random groups because they don’t have BiS gear. I believe it’s actually good for build diversity to see others doing well in “non-meta” setups.

    So, to summarize:
    8-D445-DBD-89-E5-46-F6-9633-1-CC669845-C1-A.jpg
And the fact that many don’t know that we know speaks to the non-toxicity of the community.
