I paid 50 euro for a class that doesn't work in Cyrodiil (magicka Necro)

I'm not even going to talk about Cyrodiil during primetime because that's unplayable for everyone.
Now I know that because I'm the from the EU, ZOS regards me as a second rate customer (just look at PC-EU performance, nuff said). But when I paid 50 euros for this expansion (mainly to play the Necro class) I was hoping to get at least a polished experience regarding class mechanics.
BOY WAS I WRONG. Even in morning hours with normal ping times, 6 out of 10 times Blastbones is completely useless. It just stands there for 8 seconds, during which I cannot recast. That means my opponent doesn't have to counter it because it doesnt even work in the first place.
Can you believe that? My opponent doesn't need to counter my hardest hitting skill because it's enough to just /laugh at it.
And the tethers are just ROFLMAO bad. I mean when it actually works it's a good skill, but you have to aim at a VERY small hitbox to pull it off and the response time is SO SLOW. I literally have to spam the button at a corpse before it fires during which I have lost 3 to 5 GCDs and my opponents can either nuke me down in that period or actually take a bio break and be fine when they return because I'm still trying to get my tether to land.

Once Goliath is nerfed, stamina necromancer is finito.

Divines, I LOVE the broad sweeping all inclusive statements. Statements that are actually personal opinion and preference.
I don't pvp.
My first magicka necro is just "initiate". Completed Mages's guild, stopped the planemeld, and defeated Molag Bal before level 48. I haven't even made it to the 3rd zone of my faction yet. Some content is harder, some easier. I solo public dungeons. So far I have at least 4 different crafted sets that could be fun when I get to cp160. I am having a ball playing. What exactly is "useless"? Enemies die, my character doesn't, and I have fun. I have no idea about a stamina necro yet. That will be the next one I make.7 -

The problem are game aspects where you need high self performance to compete. Trials, dlc dangos for pve and solo, small-scale for PvP.
And in all high performance fields in this game magcro is just way below average. Except maybe healer for PvP, I managed to get 2,2 Mio healing in a bg. Yet I still would rate magcro only the 4th best heal class.

I do some group type content to help out guildies and friends, and they haven't kicked me from the groups yet, so apparently, for the non-uber, non-leetist people I play with, I'm not doing too badly. Isn't there a forum section for combat and pvp threads? Perhaps more directly involved actually "qualified" people could comment? Since you don't want just anyone who plays in a way you don't approve of to comment in your thread. Or perhaps specify that unless you play certain content you shouldn't reply.... :sigh: And some people wonder why the negative viewpoints for certain groups of players exist....13 -

If you paid 50 eu SOLELY for the necro class, I'm sorry for your disappointment as they are a tad underrpowered currently in PvP it seems. Hopefully they get it sorted out (not holding my breath)
To those dismissing the PvE, non competitive players, stop being so elitist. You are dismissing the VAST majority of the player base which is what ZoS is really looking at.5 -

I am enjoying and having success with my necro now that it's Stam.
My suggestion would be to switch to Stam.
And for PvE, iirc, Stam necro is like one of, if not the, best dps0 -

✭I mostly PvE and I agree, Blastbones is terrible atm. I've nearly died to world bosses because it just stands next to me half the time, and I have the same issue as you with the tethers, I'm standing over a corpse, the skill is highlighting but my character doesn't do anything, sometimes she randomly turns to face in a different direction. It's beyond annoying and means I wont be using my magic necro in trials any time soon. I can imagine it being far worse in Cyro. It was fun to level and just do quests etc but until it's fixed its not usable for end-game content imo.
I'm going to try levelling a stamina one as well, since people are saying that's better. I love the class overall, but they need to hurry up and fix the issues.PC EU & NA2
