Ideas for what to do until Lag and Performance Issues are addressed

does anyone have ideas? so far every active thread discussing the new performance issues has been shut down. Personally, all I want is for ZOS to acknowledge these issues and give us a timeframe for when we can expect fixes. In the meantime, what should we busy ourselves with? this will (likely) be my last thread about the issue, but I encourage others to keep it up! undoubtedly they don't want the general discussion page being covered with lag threads with new players around... As soon as they acknowledge the issue there won't be a need for people to keep bringing it up. if the Q3 DLC comes along without the performance issues being fixed, we might as well get dragonhold instead and postpone scalebreaker.

TheNightflame✭✭✭✭✭as someone who plays to get difficult things done in game like trifecta achievements, the game is effectively unplayable. I refer to story mode content being fine for people who play that^ but for "hardcore-ish" pve it's useless logging on8

Oceanic players have been ignored since early October last year and multiple threads while ZoS has continued humming their merry tune of "its fine, we don't care" while they continue to ignore us. Now the EU server has been experiencing similar issues and they haven't gotten much in the way of fixes.
I wouldn't get my hopes up them actually addressing the issue or fixing it at all if i'll be super honest.6 -
TheNightflame✭✭✭✭✭this is ps4NA though in mine and other cases, and for people right in the middle of NA with good internet and all that. I've also seen xbox players having the same issue. Now it appears to be everyone except for PCNA suffering.
(I am sorry about oceanic players though, but if there was ever a time to acknowledge this issue, it's now. 5/6 of the player base are experiencing it (zos said each server is approx equal in pop)).2 -

Was running vSS yesterday with no issue. But then again I don't usually have lag issues.2 -

for basically anything involving a no death and hardmode of some dlc thing in the same run though, then yes, the lag is very consequential0 -

Well, I already got most of the trifecta achievements I wanted. So you wouldn't catch me redoing them.
Though I'd also expect performance to be worse in a trial when compared to a dungeon. But I'm PC NA, so maybe I'm just lucky.0 -

At least they actually acknowledged that there was an issue with the EU situation. Even that would be nice from an Oceanic perspective. we are up to almost 900 comments on a single thread without any response from anyone at ZOS.0 -

✭I was in vSS yesterday. My Network died a couple of days ago and I had to play with my phone as a wifi hotspot. It was... fun. I got like a 10 seconds freeze during the servant phase, with the game suddenly catching up and everything moving in accelerated. I was pinned but alive xD We still killed it in time. Otherwise I got beast personality a few days ago. Server side it's fine. Even in pvp no-cp.PC - EU - France - AD

✭For me, as as a EU user with full optic fiber connexion and a more than decent PC, lag isn't so bad. Performance are a bit underwhelming, but far from being as bad as they were a few months ago. Still, there are some weird issues, like FPS drops for no reason now and then, silly loading times...
No, what really makes me play other games for now is the sad state of bugs. Stam necromancer is unplayable for many. Some quests were not registering at all, and when they were supposedly "fixed", they still didn't, until they got fixed again. Things that were never even touched are now broken...
Doesn't make me want to invest some time. Or money.0 -

I feel you. Getting skins and personalities done for friends is a real drag right now. Half the mechanics aren't even working properly0 -

✭I'm PCNA and also experiencing issues. Was trying to down dragons yesterday and it was awful. Getting wing-smacked before the actual animation going off, half the telegraphs not displaying, invisible aoe's, all happening sporadically. Others were complaining about the same issues so it wasn't just me. After the 3rd dragon with the same problems I gave up and went back to questing. Don't even get me started on the necro bugs.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭They've given various updates including recently, but clearly their improvements are intended to be medium and long term solutions rather than providing any instant answers.
I guess what people do is down to their own personal experience with the game, for myself there have never been any significant performance or other issues with the game (beyond one update which was quickly hot-fixed) which is running as smoothly on PC EU and NA as it always has done for me, but I don't PvP, do trials, or use addons and I stick with old but proven drivers and OS on a mid-range desktop with wired keyboard, mouse and modem/router.
Other players will have different playstyles, hardware setups and experience, so provided they've done everything to optimise performance at their end and have raised any possible network routing issues with their ISP, I can quite understand them reviewing their continued playing of the game. That said, I don't fully understand those who say that it's unplayable so they're canceling their subscription rather than saying it's unplayable therefore they're not playing it any more. It also seems to me that there are fewer people complaining about performance issues now than a few months ago. Whether that's because improvements have been made or players have left I wouldn't know, but experience ingame and comments from ZOS certainly suggest that the population is continuing to rise rather than there being a performance-related mass exodus.0 -

Complaining on the company's turf only goes so far. Threatening to cancal ESO+ or to stop spending in the cash shop are drops removed from a river.
Put reviews where ZoS can't moderate, tag web sites and journalists who cover video games, and eventually you'll see results
