    I don’t think I have even 5k in the bank currently. My main always seems to be low on gold with all the stuff she has to buy for crafting research, plus trying to fund 3 low level characters. Poor gal, it’s all work and no play, and for very little gold.

    This seems kind of pointless and absurd.

    We know factually that many players do not have much. They sometimes have come into the forums seeking how to make gold because they have little so the idea of increasing the gold sinks would disproportionately harm them.

    The entire notion of a gold sink that would be noticeable for someone that makes hundreds thousands a week would certainly discourage new players. This should be obvious.

    Even OP does not offer a worthy justification for the idea because there is not one.

    Getting close to 7 mill. Wouldn't mind if the golden brought something I want soon.

    Otherwise I'll probably spend some gold on chromium.

    Play since 6-7 mount now, got multiple time 1M+ but use all to gold all the jewellery I get + many set.
    Now I my set are down, I'm just at 150k but since I've no thing to buy anymore it will up I guess and later I'll spend all for housing probably.

    Getting gold in this game is decent, not to easy, no to tedious, that a good point, let it like that.

    Honestly @LeagueTroll - you know even if there were more gold sinks, I doubt I'd use them. I almost never buy anything anyway because like a dragon I like to sit upon my hoard and look at it lovingly.

    I don't trade. All my money is made from quest rewards, fencing stolen goods, and vendoring dropped loot.

    Only time I've had over 1mil, was when I farmed for 2+ months (writs & thievery on ~6 characters) to buy Hundings Palatial Hall (1.3m)


    edit: my main purchases are furniture from the weekend Luxury Vendor and from achievement vendors.
    (I've got several houses: the 5 Inn rooms, Snugpod, Sisters of the Sands, Exorcised Coven, Hunding's)

    I currently have almost 900k in the bank and toons carry 10k on them. Most I had was 1.4 million but bought some stuff . Nearly recovered. But funding 6 other toons and using ap for golden is costly and time consuming lol 😂

    No kidding. I'm a frustrated Egyptologist... so I KNOW what mummies tend to look like.... I wasn't surprised when my instant reaction to that poor kitty was "OMG - let's give it a kind burial.... or maybe a pyre".

    Maybe put in a ticket to get it refunded and sent back to its grave poor thing?

    Usually sit at 1.5 M and all other money I spent to buy and stockpile expensive mats, so I can freely use them when I need.

    Dragon hoards are the best. I sit comfortable atop my mountain of gold, and have yet to find any effective sink :P

    I haven't had much to spend it on yet. I'm just now figuring out which houses to buy. Once I start furnishing, well.... that'll be the end of all that gold?

    But as far as how I get it.... I craft on a LOT of characters every day. And they all bank it except for about 1k each....

    Farming, putting in those hours and effort. I've been playing since launch so I have collected many valuable mats over the years and stock piled gold that I never really spent. I quite for like a year then finally came back and just had tons of gold saved up to spend.

    Adding more gold sinks to the game would hit the hardest for those with less gold.

    For most of my ESO gaming.. I was below 1 million gold & just kept a 100-500k buffer but didn't really try & earn gold after i got my buffer in place. Recently though a few of my longer term ESO friends have left the game & gave me all their stuff... so I no longer have to worry about selling stuff to maintain a buffer. Which is nice.. apart from having no friends that play ESO :(

    Yeah, no more gold sinks needed IMO. For those of us who don't do guild trading (or only belong to guilds that can't seem to keep a trader, like me!), it's very hard to make a lot of gold just from quest rewards and in-game vendors. I play to have fun, not farm stuff, so my characters will never be rich with my play style.

    • XB1 - 90th percentile - 412k gold
    • PS4 - 90th percentile - 459k gold
    • PC - 90th percentile - 890k gold

    It's not the top 1%, but it gives you an idea.

    Played for 2 months, didn't join trading guild and never trade with player, only has total 100k coin, fully upgrade bag and bank, around 800k houses.

    Is that normal? Or am I way too slow?
