What gives? Now where will all the feedback channel from? Forums are a mess for feedback.

They do what they want. What do you need feedback for, when you don't act on them anyways.

Well if you ask me at first it was something now it is more like a forum in which (in case of DK class) all I hear is #StamWhip
Nothing is being worked on for example on DK healer being better (I mean give us synergy on some skills that works nice for others like minor courage unique buff or something at the very least) all we have seen so far is just increasing the heals done on the skills which were allready good if you asked me.

We asked for changes for some unused morph - Igneous Weapons which is kinda useless - we have yet to hear anything back.

Instead we get nerf on one thing that was good for PvP on DK - Wings, I mean ok we got something in exchange but it is not performing so well with slowpoke DK IK IK you will say it was 2 OP but considering the cost I say it was fine and it worked for just 3 missile type things so if somebody saw flappers they just had to throw 3 light att ranged and it was gone now the change kinda made DK players be like everyone else - meaning not having anything unique that would make us valuable vs range players, how about taking off from templars that thing which makes you get hurt each time u deal direct damage than? It is very goodplayer blocker skill and is also broken if you ask me...

Leap ulti even after increased splash damage range still can be avoided by majority of players unless you do it very suddenly or you do it on stunned/rooted player. We asked for a change to DK shield bubble skill to allow one of the morphs to be scaled with max mag instead - we have yet to see changes to that.

Now a bit about Wardens and Ice Damage, players evevn made Ice Damage discord, we wanted for a while to make it viable to have ice DMG dps, I understand that tanking with it is also nice part of game but proper solutiions have been made by players we have yet to see them implemented and ZOS is aware that a lot of players wanna throw those icicles at enemies.

I could go on and on about every single class but tbh why should I when nothing gets heard or implemented anyways, non-combat discord is dead for weeks if not months, so basically I rather got off from those discords and won't waste my time with them.

Besides we got bigger issues now, dung finder and guild reading history, PC EU once i na while just simply blows up randomly wit hyet another weird thing... <sarcasm on> But hey we get new reskins for merchants and bankers for same price so we should be happy and p[L]ay right?? <sarcasm off>

What bugs me the most about the sudden and uncalled for shutdown of the servers is that it did not take into consideration the community that sprung up around the discords. They were done with their failed project and so who cares what the players that used those discords get after that right? Makes me extremely disappointed in not just the devs but the reps that did not help keep the discords open, lack of communication around this is deafening.

I legit thought I was removed from the tank one till I found out from another discord that was not the case.

There reps should quit and get back some sanity from this slavery of a job.

I can only hope that this nonsensical class representative program is about to end and ZOS starts managing feedback them selves instead of having players do it.

Doesn’t matter if they manage themselves or class reps. They don’t use the feedback and do what they want.

Class rep program was put in a a time when complaints of the game were at a all time high so it’s implementation essentially put a buffer between ZOS and everyone else.

Nothing matters in regards to balance anyways because the game is a performance nightmare and unplayable from 6-11cst.

As far as I'm aware, the Discords weren't owned by ZOS.

There was a lot of drama, and more than a bit of deeply messed up behavior, coming out of those discords. Not (necessarily) by the Reps themselves, but by certain subsets of players who participated.

The program will (probably) continue, but the Rep discords were more of a liability than an asset.

    Interesting.

I assume the news broke in a Discord server somewhere? As I've not seen any posts about it.

I haven't seen anything first hand about the Discord servers getting taken down. But, given some of the background I am aware of, it sounds credible.

Hmm maybe they will actually use the Official class threads now. Like say Nightblade, I skimmed over it and I don't see a single post from the class rep anywhere in the entire thread. I can't speak for all class reps as I seen some of them post in their respected threads. I mean isn't that what those threads are for though?

The Rep's job is to filter through the feedback, and hand the abstract off to ZOS for analysis. Not, necessarily, to participate in the conversation. That said, some of the reps did, also, function as community relays, passing information back to the community at large. Though that did come to a halt when the NDAs went out.

I won't lie though, using the official forums to communicate would be a better step in the right direction communication wise. Rather than using just a third party platform like Discord but that's just my opinion.

Not about to disagree with that.

I know some of the reps felt the need to go to the discord servers (official and otherwise) to collect a wider range of feedback. The forums, (and Reddit for that matter), only account for a tiny fragment of the game's overall population, and the views on those platforms tends to be pretty insular. That said, I'm not sure Discord is much of an improvement on that, rather than just another platform with the same issues.

Reps have their own discord. Which is basically a super concentrated lurk thread for the devs. Then a meeting to see if reps won't trigger over changes. No constant direct contact with the Devs. It was and if still active a sounding board or soft soft opening to balance changes and other related details. Class rep are more of a demographic sample, a homogeneous(each spec represented) focus group to gauge the direction of future patches.

It hasn't changed from the original description of what they represented. A voice, to be heard not always listened to but heard.

The discords were not started by Zos nor were they maintained by them or affiliated with them. They were begun by the reps as an efficient means of gathering player input and they were maintained as such. When the reps decided it was a colossal waste of their time and resources to continue passing along feedback that continually got ignored, they shut them down, since they no longer served their intended purpose. There hasn't been much constructive conversation happening in any of them for a while now anyway, and they had become a haven for trolls. On top of that, many players chose to blame the reps for changes which they had absolutely no part in, all while they worked for free.

I don't blame the reps one bit.
