If you’re on PC, and haven’t changed the keyboard controls, hit the “L” key. Then click on the tab for “Campaigns.”

Might have to choose one of the servers as “Home“. Then right click on the home server and hit “Enter Campaign.”

    There ya go.

Havent seen many cheater, but many thinks that only cheater are good enough to kill them. Two advices, expect to die a lot and join a pvp guild they can help. Note that there is two playing styles small scalers (one shoting Sigel torgets) and raid groups (aoe based to wreck many enemies at the same time).

I'm not super experienced nor I have ever tried healing in Cyrodiil, but as far as general advice goes here's some of the things I find useful in PVP, in no particular order:
    • train you mount for speed and then stamina, you'll ride a lot and you need to keep up with others
    • use the impenetrable trait on your armor pieces
    • don't put all of your enchantments toward your main stat, try to also rise your health a bit
    • same applies to your sets, use one specific for you role and one health focused
    • get used to dying and just ride as fast as you can back into action
    • use food to rise health and you main stat

I’ve never gone in as a healer either but I’d go with the advice above re albesca....

Don’t be put off by the forums.... it’s really fun and most people are actually really nice. Just don’t take everything to heart and don’t worry about dying.... all the time (at first)...

The easiest way to learn to PvP is to join a good group/guild in Cyrodiil, and actually watch/listen/ask questions. There's a lot of good, experienced healers around who are more than happy to give tips to new healers. That said, healer necromancer (IMO) doesn't really flow well in Cyrodiil, too many of your really great healing skills rely on corpse gameplay to be effective. Short of using blastbones to guarantee you have at least one active, you cant really rely on enemy player corpse to use as often they'll just release from death. I guess you could still be good though, when I played it all I could think is how much more effective I'd be if I was playing templar or (bleh)sorc healer instead.

For gear, the most important thing you need to not die is heavy armor, pref with some form of critical resistance like impen trait. Most PvP healers run Restoration staff with Sword/board on their backbar. When I was newer to PvP I ran Shacklebreaker impen with Lich on backbar, any of the 1 piece resto (blackrose prison, master, maelstrom, asylum), with earthgore and didn't have any trouble. Earthgore is nerfed now though so I'd probably swap it for Bloodspawn. Keep in mind though that this was for Non-CP, and you should adjust accordingly for CP gameplay.

-Learn from your deaths - don't panic if you die a lot, even within a few seconds, you will learn to surf longer on the waves of the Cyrodiil ocean eventually.
-Every day is a good day to die in Cyrodiil, even if you happen to not die (more props to you).
-Frustration is not the center of your universe, hate tells? Shrug off, someone is having an off moment, mad about being killed? You have an off moment, like everyone else you die and raise in Cyrodiil.
    - Try to learn LoS fighting (Line of Sight), using enviromental obstacles as your shield. Those might keep you alive longer for a while.
-Your alliance buddies are your weapons and shield, keep them sharp and shiny.
-Love your enemy, Cyrodiil without a good fight is just plain boring.
-Don't gawk about your kill too long, or the tables might be turned.
-Vampire skill-line mistform can save your life when stuck in enemy zerg.
-Retreat is a perfect valid tactic.
    - Not resurrecting players is a perfect valid tactic especially in a keep door under heavy attack, just place a camp for them to resurrect. You won't be the first to be added to the mount of corpses when blindly trying to resurrect everyone.
-Learn to siege, giving your fellow buddies cover / or damaging enemies when they engage the enemy near a keep. Sometimes that works better then healing. I find oils and meatbag catapults to be reasonably effective.
-Alliance passives like Reach are golden, it is pretty sweet to unleash a far reaching ranged attack in a fight near a keep.
-Mage Light is golden to detect a hidden NB. Especially bombers near a resource flag. Or bombers near repairing buddies in a captured keep.
-Stack up on Buff-Food and potions, and use abundantly.
-Did you know that the fairly cheap Restoration Staff Ultimate Life's Champion gives you or a buddy a 30% damage reduction for a short time?
-FPS low? Lower your settings, might help.
-Don't take tips for granted, keep what you find useful, lose what you can't use.
-Care when enemy alliance is dancing in your face, they have a lot to win by luring players away and killing them when back-up is cut-off. There are some pretty inventive tricks: like a dead buddy lying away from the group, an excellent death trap.
-Have fun, cherish good fights with your enemies. Those do well over a beer.

EDIT: no Major Protection buff anymore from Light's Champion... missed a (patch) Memo.

Great healers can make or break a group. If the heals die, group will go soon after. It's legit challenging to PvP as a healer as they are the ones who get focused first. Learning how to deal with incoming damage, what to do in certain situations, you'll have to put yourself out there.

Whatever build you decide to create for PvP, make sure you put in enough stamina to CC break. Also trry to pump up your Recovery as high as you can. I've fought along side a buddy of mine who heals groups, I've seen him hit his heal buttons so hard and so fast, but he's gotta to keep the peoples on the flags alive.

Just go to Cyro. Get into a proper PvP build for your class (start by running all impen). You’re getting lit up by crit damage.

It might behoove you to try something other than a Necro because if you can’t theory craft a Necro build, folks who are inclined to give out builds aren’t giving out anything but trash. The class is too new.

Starting out, you’d be better off running a class that has a tried and true well established meta.

Joining a PvP guild wouldn’t hurt. Yet, in the end you just have to go to Cyro, fight and die. THAT will motivate you to learn and get better.

How to pick a faction for PvP ( PC/NA )

    EP
Pick this alliance if you like to hang out with super sized groups. This alliance is great for weak players.

    AD
Pick this alliance if you can't handle pressure. Most times you will be fighting along side their sister alliance (EP) which will relieve most the stress so they can attack empty keeps.

    DC
If you can handle pressure and don't mind losing all the time then this alliance would be a good match. This faction is dysfunctional but has a lot of potential if they use their brain. Be prepared to fight on multiple fronts. This alliance will make you a stronger player.

I would go no CP campaign as its much more causal. Healer is very good for pug groups. However you also want to focus on damage, this is also true for dungeons and you need damage just for overland.
As other say inpren and look up some builds. You want to look up some builds but compromise unless an dedicated pvp build.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    AD
Join this faction if you view PvP like a 12 man trial and want to “tryout” for the privilege to wipe with them fools. They’ll also tell you what build to run and order you about relentlessly until you’re all lying dead in a field looking stupid.

    DC
If you like running 100k plus resits preferably on a StamDK or Stamden. Must like running up and down hills and fighting alongside giants. Practically never wins a campaign so...Don’t forget to stack vigor! And if you can’t be polite while dead writing hate tells, probably want to roll AD. DC death-missives are often the politest hate tells you’ll ever see.

    EP
If you like to listen to the absolute stupidest zone chat of ANY faction period. Half the people in this faction will end up on your kill on sight list even though none of you will ever roll or play another faction. They’ll end up there just cuz.

Often you’ll win the campaign and get gold jewelry. Mostly, they’ll leave you alone, so if you don’t want to be bothered a lot this faction is for you.

Plenty of them will be dead on the ground a BUNCH. Rez them I guess tho most will not accept it lol.

Truly all the factions are crap. Best of luck to you.

Some very solid tips in this thread, and some funny stoofs too.

One thing I can add: As a healer, be very prepared to get focused on by multiple opponents. You will be under pressure often. Positioning and staying with your group can help with this.

Best advice is the easiest. When you get in a group, stay on crown. That way people in your group know where to find your heals.

It’s not a dungeon. Your whole group can go from a ball to spread 50 yards wide in 2 seconds. It’s not your job to find dying players in Cyrodiil. It’s the dying players job to find you. Make it easier on them by staying next to your group leader and their crown icon.

My advice would be not to play as a healer in this game's PvP. Unless you have your own private army of body guards - it's just a miserable experience. I don't see how people deal with it honestly - and this is coming from someone who usually plays healers in MMORPG PvP. But you couldn't pay me to do it on this game.

Below 50 PvP is the best place to learn.

The problem with PvPing below 50 though is the damage is so much lower. So strategies that can be effective there will go splat after 50. I had this one build I created on an alt that was dominating low level battlegrounds. Then after it hit 50.... it was just embarrassing how easily it got creamed.

Honestly, after reading the comments here, I just picked the most HP Build I could find (Plague Doctor + Hatchlings Shell) and went in, and yeah, I had fun now that I dont die in one hit, and I found that the Psijic skills really help with ressource management xD

I am like 99% sure that build isnt anywhere near optimal, but it keps me alive and I can heal/revive, so I am happy^^
