I'm yes and no on it. I like a single AH due to the ease it would provide, but I like the flavor added by having to shop at different "stores". That feeling of hunting down a specific object and finally finding it is pretty great.

You can use Tamriel Trade Center (the website) to locate items really easily. So, at this point the only purpose trade guilds have is to buy low and sell high or rather to gain gold from members through taxation. The ability to find items, like a unified auction house, is within that site.

I disagree with the first part, I don't think guild traders are working as intended, especially on PC with third-party add-ons and websites making every listing public. With some measures to avoid price gouging (e.g. no reposting of AH-purchased items) it would work better than the current system IMO.

That said yes, I agree we don't need a new poll or thread on this issue every single day, and posting a new one should get you a soft ban to teach you use the search function in the forums.

No, I like the regional based trading system and would like it to remain. However I do think the current system needs some work to both make the bidding and searching aspects better for everyone.

A public API of all items listed in the store so we can make third party sites would be a big help, something akin to what CCP does with EVE Online.

Example of a third party site using market data from EVE: https://eve-marketdata.com/

    Instead ? No
As a substitute for WTS / WTB system ? Yes.

Note: I dont want an "auction house" where there are actuall auctions going on. Something more like steam market:
    - You post an item with a fixed price.
    - You can sell and buy limited number of items per week (5 ? ).
    - Items bought via this system are account bound to prevent re-selling & and price lifting.

Basically, I would like to have current trading system as it is, but I would like the WTS / WTB system to also be improved somehow.

I sometimes wonder if people are aware that this is pretty much what we already have on PC with a website like TTC.

Older MMO players who played Star Wars Galaxies know that it is possible to mix auction house and player vendors. In SWG you still had to set up a vendor or multiple to list items (you couldn't sell items over a price on the bazaar, the auction house, restriction that didn't exist on vendors), you were able to browse available items on the bazaar then you still had to travel and visit the vendor to retrieve your item.

Does it really feel different from what we have on PC?

    Other.

I'd like to see a global AH but retain guild system too.

AH could be an auction system with 'buy now' prices too, and listings could be for 6 hours, 1 day and 3 days (to avoid too much clutter) and a cap on listings per player account of say 30 items. Note the per player account and not per toon to prevent players with 25 toons listing endless items. Would also need some way of stopping endless listings using trial accounts etc so maybe only eso+ members could list items (although anyone could buy from ah)- and of course your friendly eso+ guild member could list items for guildies if they wanted on commission:-)

Had it been an AH from the start, it never would have been an issue. Adding it now causes many issues and doens't solve as many issues as people seem to think it would.

We have a 5 guild system party due to a need for trade specific guilds. Do you also drop the max guild count when removing the guild trader system?

How much in taxes would we be paying on each transaction from the AH in order to compensate for the lost gold sink that is guild trader bids? Would you be happy with a 30% house cut on every sale, 40%? Make that cut too high and players just flock to zone to sell there instead. We'd have an entire separate community with addons just to facilitate zone sellers looking to avoid AH taxes. The current system keeps taxes low so this is less of an issue.

Guild Wars 2 has five guilds too and an auction house.

Outside of the more than extensive arguments against the Auction House, and the fact that the devs would actually need to change the engine to implement one.

With all the game breaking bugs that have been getting worse over the years, is this really the massive project that should be undertake? Is this really the best use of time given the current state?

Also, how many threads does it take to get told no?

Trading guilds are a good thing + I have 5x 30 slots to try to sell something.

In an AH I would maybe have only like 30-60 slots and would have to compete with every other item that someone tries to sell, too.

ESO would lose a core end game feature. No thanks.

Guilds are guilds. They are not dependent on trading. They are as much social as they are business. This does not affect them 'as guilds' so to speak.

I don't care what an item costs. I want to just be able to find it and buy it IF it is for sale somewhere.

This current system does NOT allow me to simply find the item I want and buy it.

And that, for me, IS the bottom line.

    IMHO

With the current system, guilds are not merely just guilds. People who are interested in selling typically completely discount any guild that can't hold a trader. How often do you see "looking for trading guild" versus any other kind of "looking for guild" request in zone chat?

Don't care , honestly doesn't matter to me. At this point in ESO and its history, what we "forum" people say matters exactly 0.

Keep making polls, keep fighting among yourselves and ZOS is going to do whatever they want, whenever they want lol.
Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.
