Is the chest run on VSS a violation against TOS?

    1) I firmly believe that players should never be punished for dev incompetence. I would extend this to ANY exploits, regardless of how obvious it is. I mean for God's sake we have a patch test server in this game, if you're so bad at your job that you allow content to release with such glaring problems after a testing period, then you deserve whatever issues come along with it. If I failed that hard at my job, on a consistent basis, I'd get fired, so why are the players getting punished?

    Mainly because "just because I can means it is OK" isn't the answer. It certainly isn't some universal answer in real life. Society has rules, which frequently get enforced, that cover the case where this sort of behavior in not wanted. There are numerous situations in real life where preying upon the mistakes, vulnerability, or incompetence, of someone, or some thing, makes it worse, and results in stronger punishments.

    The scale may be much smaller, and the importance much lower, but the concepts are the same, so why should we expect that this sort of thing would be different just because it is a game?

    How’s it an exploit? You are killing the ads to get to the bosses and then there’s chests. It’s not like you are jumping onto a rock to avoid damage or going outside of the map.

    ZOS changed it on PC already so it's an unintentional design. And yeah, you kill ads but to reach the chests but you have to pass the boss first. That is skipping a key content to the trial in which ZOS obviously added it AFTER the boss for a reason. That is why the chests don't spawn on the fix until after the boss is dead.

    So this is why it's a back and forth, "yes it is an exploit" and "no it is not". But anything that is sketchy as that, I won't do it. Just had a back and forth argument in game about it being a violation or not and I got half and half reactions...like in the forum. I wish ZOS cleared it up.

      So you mean WE ARE ALL AT FAULT for skipping bosses in Fungal Grotto 1 before opening the Undaunted chests?
