That might help with the load times and login issues by rebooting the servers or better yet, if you're running just one North America server, how about splitting the server so it's fewer lags by placing a population limit per server.

Server software should be stable and never require a reboot or downtime for continued functionality, only for patches, configuration changes, and hardware maintenance. Datacenter 101.
End the tedious inventory management game.

A megaserver doesn't mean one physical server. There's probably a million people playing right now without issues, and I'm one of them.

Split the server so each server houses 50% of the people and has the same exact lag on both servers instead of one?
People need to stop with the add more servers suggestion, and now.
Waiting, and watching, for the return of Melee Weapons.

The server is already split. There are a bunch of servers (just as many as any other MMO). The "megaserver" just means that your character is not fixed to any one server, and can be easily moved from one server to another as population demands. Again, megaserver = "cluster", not a single server.

And "reboot"? Please do not talk about things you do not know anything about. Rebooting is not a valid troubleshooting step unless you're talking about a Windows PC. And I can guarantee the infrastructure is not running on Windows.

They could kick the servers too. I hear that works well.
