Would it be a good idea to allow sellers at guild stores to list items for purchase with their choice of gold, alliance points,, writ vouchers, or telvar? Gained AP will not be counted towards alliance rank, like depositing and withdrawing from the bank.

There should only be one in-game currency for general trade. Sub-currencies with restricted application like AP and TelVar are borderline case for their current use, and I'd prefer the transactions there to be secondary. i.e. you need to convert the other currency to gold before making the purchases.

Without having zero knowledge if that idea would be implemented into the game engine-wise; I want to explain the economics side briefly.

In order to introduce different currencies that can be used to buy the same item in an open trade economy, law makers should create certain grounds to avoid market fluctuations. In time, currencies may become so useless to decide the worth of an item, players may start trade in game items. For example a motif page for 3 dreugh waxes, 200 spell pots for an Hunding's full set... Also, in ESO point of view, we have events. Pelinal for double AP, IC events for more Tel Var, anniversary events for more loot in terms of materials and motif/housing pages. ESO has already has enough variables to fluctuate its economy. Introducing more currency types would only complicate the market further.

It is not the same idea, but Path of Exile has different currencies yet almost every trading is being done in 3 currency types. Alchemy shards, chaos orbs and exalted orbs. Meaning, even if you have gazillion type of currencies, market always lean towards some of them.

My expectation was actually 100% reversed for this. Good thing I didn't bet money!

Thank you both for explaining your answers :)
