Why on earth is everyone complaining so much? This is the end of week one... This game is beautiful and actually very fun. They spent years developing it, countless hours, days, weeks, YEARS of effort to provide us with entertainment. Suddenly (how many? enter X number here...) people are attempting play all at once and there are (gasp!) issues that they are working on. Relax; it sucks, yes. But it's not an actual big deal in the grand scheme of life. I'll give you 49 cents out of my own pocket to compensate you for this one day of lost funds, if it makes you feel better.

There are definitely problems that need to be fixed for EOS but really over all they are not as major as a number of other MMO's have had at launch.

Never before has something become such a clusterflock of serious, impairing problems occurred without some form of playtime compensation.
It's bad enough that I have lost bank storage space, deposited gold, and items. Let alone saving my time to play the game this weekend, planning my schedule accordingly. This is time that I am paying for.
I am not paying for the "privilege" of being a glorified beta tester. I already participated in the beta, and while the game has a long way, if there were serious issues such as this BEFORE *official* launch then guess what? You postpone the damn launch. You are NOT ready.
Have others games had similar issues? Yes. But how are they doing now? Surely it has repercussions, especially if there is no action from the people responsible to take... well.. responsibility. So: Since this has happened in other games launches, there is still an expectation: Compensation for the playtime I lose, that I paid for. Period. We have gotten 3 days compensation before, surely I can expect to get it again.
I haven't even gotten an e-mail or notification about problems I have been having. It's absurd.
I hope things get all patched up, and I am a fan of this game. There has been lots of progress. However, from a business standpoint, I really hope they make the right call and give us playtime compensation.
EDIT: spelling and such. Engrish.

I've played countless MMO's at launch and this is by far the roughest and buggiest. LotRO, EVE, WoW, GW, LoL... they all had their bugs to be sure, but nothing on the sheer scale of this. Full bank wipes? Rollbacks to hours before? These aren't 'launch day server stress bugs', these are GAME. BREAKING. problems that had no good reason not to be addressed and fixed PRIOR to launch.
Really, all this just traces back to how naive and yes, ignorant Zenimax was in its pre-launch months. I was invited to virtually every Beta event, and you know? There weren't that many. A couple stress test weekends do not an intensive beta make. This all goes back to just how poorly Zenimax tested this game prior to launch, and now we the paying customers are being hammered into the role of beta testers while they sort this crap out.

Some people only have weekends to play. How many weekends are in a month? Redo the math. Then offer to compensate me. I'll gladly take you up on it.
I have been stuck on a main story quest for 7 days where the next step is Veteran Rank Content. I have completed the quest and need to talk tot he NPCs to advance... they have been busted FOR SEVEN DAYS.
Where is your outrage and request for my 7+ days?
One little outage and you all get scared... I guess you should move to bel aire

QFT
I have been STUCK in progression for the 6th day in a row. It has literally taken me less time to get to 50 than to finish the last 4 quests of coldharbour to unlock vet zones.
Add to that the Cyrodil loading screen bug, and that is 6 days of literally ZERO progression. 6 days I fully expect to be reimbursed for in some facet. As much as I enjoy the game, I refuse to support terrible business and customer support practices with my money. If compensation of some kind is not given, I know where my money will NOT be going to next month

I trust that you're doing what you can to iron out these wrinkles so that when I actually do start paying monthly, I'll have a better experience. For the record, my experience has been excellent so far.
That said, if you do decide to hand down compensation in the amount of three day's play time, feel free to give my $1.50 to the OP and those like him. I doubt a $1.50 credit is really going to make them feel better, but $3 might just do the trick.
Thanks!
