LOL. Casual players have nothing to do with it and seems more like a cop out due to the extreme lack of interest this thread has received.. The fact that this thread has died twice and was necroed after both deaths by the same person and yet the thread is still on the first page speaks volumes.

Sorry, didn't mean to hurt your casual ego, my bad bro.

It might not happen because the care-bear players will just complain. They don't even like the aspects of PvP that don't affect them. Dueling is a perfect example. The care-bear players shot that down because they claimed duel invite spams would be a thing. The PvP community said that Zenimax could easily implement a system where you can block duel requests; the PvE care-bear players then came up with the excuse that "dueling in towns or places where they might craft, is just "annoying". Fortunately, Zenimax released dueling anyway and the care-bear players got a reality check about how the game doesn't just revolve around them.

And yet this thread is all about care-bear PvPers who really just want to PvP in PvE areas so they can gank away to their hearts' content against PvEers because they know they can't compete on equal terms against decent PvPers.

LOL, doubt you are capable of that. It just seems odd you are upset the game you purchased obviously did not have open world PvP outside of the designated areas yet you blame others for it. Seems odd in a very obvious way.

But I do commend you on getting this thread to the second page though it still lacks anyone offering compelling reasons for change. It seems in the post above that Tandor hit on the real reason this thread has failed.

Why would I be upset? Casuals still enter Cyrodiil from time to time with high hopes.

If that is the challenge you look for in PvP then good for you but It does appear Tandor got it right.

I don't look for "challenges" in PVP. I look for "Red" and make them "Dead". If that task is a challenge, then so be it. If it is not, then all the better.

I heard of someone saying they will have a new server with true real pvp? Similar to WOW. Where u have to be cautious on where u go and certain places will flag for pvp.

If not, will this ever happen ? The game looks fun but I will only play and out my own time in A MMO if it's open world pvp..

It's the only reason why I never played. I just find it very boring you have to enter a instance to pvp.. and everyone is the same level..
I like being scared or being able to gank in certain areas. Makes it more immersive and fun imo.

Could not see that happening tbh.

The problem with a PvP server is the low population that will use it. At first, everyone will be equal so everyone would have a chance. But as the server ages, the cap between new players and experienced players will only increase resulting in a feeding frenzy that a new player just won't a stick around for. Even when a game mechanic is added that a high level player gets no rewards for killing a low level player, it just ends up being 100 max lvl players hunting 2 low lvl players.

A PvP server just doesn't have the population to keep it economical to the company.

It is even less economical when you consider they would have to do 6 servers. One per platform per NA and EU which is what I mentioned in my first post in this thread. Those that are claiming it is care bears that are keeping Zos from doing this are just trying to stoke pot with a nonsensical claim that ignores the real financial reasons.

You call PvErs carebears yet which group can you see whining on the forums that a particular class is OP, or a particular tactic is OP, or a particular skill is OP? PvErs or PvPers? who is the true carebear?

There was a dozen posts of PVEers whining about getting ganked in Cyrodiil during the last big event....I don't recall seeing any PVPer's complaining about PVEer's in Cyrodiil.

Of course PvPers don't complain about cannon fodder in Gankland  !

Ya. I wont be building a pc for another year or 2. Know of anything. On consoles? Present or future ?

Doubt it, they dont make hardcore games for console plebians.

    Hah. Ain't that the truth!

Conan Exiles would be the game with Open World PVP.

You weren't, but they're not. The true carebears are those PvPers who are only willing (a) if alone to take on lower level solo PvPers, (b) if in a group to take on equal level solo PvPers, or (c) to take on ill-equipped and inexperienced players in a PvE area.

But again, you didn't address the point you were quoting.

With Skyrim-like quests, you can't be in the middle of these and get ganked by a nightblade. Its just not gonna work out with the story intensive mmo like eso. In wow its possible because the quests are literally kill 10 skunks.

True. However, hiding behind the false claim that "care bears" are the reason ESO does not and will not have open world PvP in all or even most zones does not address the point of this thread either. It is just an empty comment of zero value.

Sorry man, just because you get ganked doesn't make that person a care bear. The people who whine on the forums in outrage over having to PVP for PVE content are carebears. If you're Red, you're dead. It has been that way since the dawn of PVP in MMORPG's.
