You make it sound like they've accomplished nothing.
The game's just over a week old.
They really did accomplished nothing. This game is just over a week old but developments should be seen already. That is why we have beta stages to fix these bugs and try to minimize the problems as much as possible during release.
Or, you could pressure a company to deliver on the "lag-free" experience they promised, and the experience you technically just dropped $60.00 to $80.00 on (or more, depending on your version) and are now pretty much unable to enjoy due to yet another hiccup.
Seriously, this like what, week 2 of this game? The first week the servers were out for 12+ Hours during Early Access (which was something that people paid for *gasp*). Now all thru week 2, we've had to deal with 1) Lag, 2) Mail issues, 3) Social feature issues.
I'm beginning to think that this megaserver idea was a bad idea from the get go, I've never had this many issues with an MMO in regards to connectivity and stability.
If this is the level of quality and ability to play we can expect for the foreseeable future, then I guess I will have to seriously reconsider my six-month subscription.
And please don't give me crap about how, "Omg all MMO's have these issues dude", I know, this is like the 5th MMO I've played in my life. I know they have bugs and kinks and all that good stuff. I just....I just needed to vent.
It took me approximately 3 to 5 minutes to type this in, and 5 minutes before that I was loading into Glenumbra. Says alot about this game, alot.

Let's see... Every big MMO since UO has had problems. So you sir are a liar in that you have never played an MMO. Good try though.

This is why companies should have longer beta sessions to test their crap before it's released. You know... to beta test the things that inevitably break so they don't have to fix it later?

People always spout this drivel. I'm sure you have good intentions, but what if you have been doing the above all day long and now want to play? Save it, it's tired and does not apply to everyone.

Are you really that stupid? Beta tests can't identify a server issue when the full load of people are playing genius.
Robert.Graham18rwb17_ESO wrote: »I agree with Caedes, We have paid money, so yes we are ENTITLED to actually get what we have paid for. 5 - 10 minute loading screens only to be dumped to the character select, lag that results in you being killed because the server and your client have two different idea's about what is going on.. or hey the server refuses to allow you to attack at all.. etc isn't what we paid for. There is an issue with the server at the moment.. Rather than do the bright thing and either:
- Add more cluster servers to take the load
- Actually split and SHARD the game like 99% of other mmo's (Heck even Guild Wars learnt their lesson in that regard)
- put in a load bar so people at least know how much FURTHER they have to go.
instead we get again lack of firm communication, lack of service. Yes it's early days.. but these early days can make or break a MMO we all know that.
Love how after release the number of annoyances and bugs are surfacing.
Wonder what Alpha/BETA/PTS was all about?
