since im bored, youre obviously bored - help me find the name for my nord necromancer (family name for tank)...ive come up with a few i like...what do you think?

    Lot of great names here. Really like Graveblade and Grimfang, but Blackmane's my personal favourite - can see why you made a poll, tough to choose from such a good selection.

    Don't forget the hyphen. Look for a random Nordic name then finish it with Grave-Blade, Death-Granter or whatever (with hyphen -) and there you have a lore friendly name.

    Honestly you can easily make a good nord clan name just combine any of these words

    Blood
    Bitter
    Black
    Death
    Dread
    Curse
    Grim
    Ghoul
    Doom
    Grave
    Bane

    and then

    Blade
    Hammer
    Howl
    Wolf
    Fang
    Mane
    Seeker
    etc. etc. :)

    space wolves are usually also a good inspiration

    Any other byname, which don't alludes that he is a necromancer? Like Meadbane, because he likes to drink a lot, or Bookseater, because he reads a lot, or Flintskin, because he got sick of some disease in the past, which left him with mutilated skin all over the body... Those are several hastily options just to give you some food for thought. What I mean is that a lot of interesting and less generic options are possible.

    Bitterblood is quite a nice Nord name in general and I like it that it doesn't scream "I'm a necromancer!". It sounds nice and is intriguing, which I think is a strong factor for a good Nord name. Is he bitter? If so, what about? Or is it family related? Were they in a feud? Commited an horrible act? A good name should cause questions :)


    Edit: Aaaand I just noticed this thread is a necro. Stop with the necromancing on the forum!
