Most bland and casual race in TES universe. Still majority of my characters in Morrowind/Skyrim were bretons due to that broken OP magic resistance.

I was wondering because the bretons are half human and half elf and theyre living in Daggerfall which is next to Skyrim.... Is it possible that the ancestors of the bretons are snow elves?
Acccording to the lore, the snow elves never went as far as high rock, but as has been said, instead it was aldmer settling there who interbred with the mannish folk there to create "manmer" that later became bretons. With a couple thousand years in the mix I guess.

As for the snow elves... they fought with the invading atmorans, lost badly, fled for their lives, sought shelter with the dwemer, got fed blinding mushrooms and made into a slav race, the falmer. Eventually rebelled and fought for their freedom (or just to get back at their enslavers at that point)... and in the middle of that the dwemer all went "poof".
And that... is why there are no snow elves around in the second era. Because they are long gone (barring a couple hiding very well), and their descendants are more monster then elf these days...
Most bland and casual race in TES universe...
...and no surprise there, since they are the most "High mediaval fantasy" race. Medieval humans with knights, castles and magic, that would fit right into pretty much ANY fantasy RPG background. Unlike some of the more specialized ones in TES lore...

No not at all, the Breton are the descendants of the Nedric Tribes of High Rock, and the Direnni Elves that settled their later. Unlike the Alyieds the Direnni typically treated their Nedric Servents with respect and honor, they were less slaves and more like prized assets to their rule of the area. The Direnni often took Nedic Concubines and lovers which eventually lead to the Breton we know today, who as we know came to rule High Rock eventually. No snow elves involved. The Direnni are just a clan of High Elves.
