So we were promised better server stability on the Elsewyr update...

Yeah look I'm sick and tired of complaining asking developers where the hell our broken promises are.

I'm still logging on to see 300-350+ ping and have absolute no desire to even try your Elsewyr chapter in this state.

I'm just going to be straight forward and ask, are we going to at the very LEAST see 200-250 ping overe 300-350+? Just a simple yes or no answer from an admin or developer please. Sick and tired of hearing "we're going to do this and that blah blah f-ing blah". WILL THERE or WILL THERE NOT be server stability implemented soon? I'm currently not playing the game PURELY because of the ping. I'm asking for an answer to make my decision final on whether or not to uninstall the game, simple as that. I have had enough of crappy server stability that is incapable of providing people out of NA with at least HALF decent ping.

You are either getting rid of Akamai or you are keeping it and making false claims that it is not the cause of the ping. Which one is it? I am f-ing fed up, subscription has already been cancelled.

Xbox NA is a lagfest. It was moderately good before Elsweyr except Alinor. Now the whole game runs slow. Dungeons are extremely terrible.

ZOS has had a history to telling the players what they want to hear and then doing absolutely nothing. This is not the first time they have stated they were fixing stability issues with their servers and nothing changes.

In my 16 years of gaming I have not once come across sleezy developers that offer promises that will never happen. It's actually disgusting to see such a big "team" (if that's what you want to call it... hah! what a joke) making all the claims and doing absolutely nothing about it, purely for the purpose to gain money. I completely understand it's a business but when a business resorts to lying to their customers it becomes a scam, and yes, that is exactly what it is. Politicians offer false promises of hope to gain the peoples trust, if I wanted to deal with politics, I'd throw the f-ing news on and watch what the dumb f-'s have to say about themselves but I don't, because I don't want to involve myself with their ***. I use gaming as an escape from that, now I have to put up with the SAME EXACT BULLSH- I WANT TO GET AWAY FROM in a game? Go f- yourself ZoS, hard in the arse. I seriously mean that with every ounce of energy I have. You are low-life scum bags that can't deliver on your OWN WORDS. I hope you all choke on them the next time you say it!!!

EDIT: Ban me for what I said if you like, you'd make it easier on me and actually bring about a faster answer on whether or not I should uninstall the game. If the ping is going to remain the same, me quitting was inevitable anyway.

Zenimax personnel won't bother answering this even it's a clear and valid question, they still read these and many times close threads and remove comments when they feel motivated. I give a short and clear answer since they won't care, there won't be any server stability implemented soon and most likely it will stay quite the same overall to the end of the lifetime of ESO. Business is the clear number one here, we customers second.

I don't understand one thing. Game re-balance for PVP-reasons causes ways of negative in PVE each patch.. and in the same time ZOS keeps PVP barely playable in peak hours. So ZOS sacrifices PVE for PVP and then makes PVP unplayable from performance side. Something controversial here.

ZOS keeps PVP barely playable in peak hours.

Here is the key statement, there's always players playing in Cyrodiil no matter how horrible it is, they keep paying the monthly membership and that's all that matters, the quality is enough to keep money flowing in. It's just the same when people make valid threads like this on forums, we can whine and cry about the lag and they can simply keep quiet, nothing much changes. When there's sometimes more lag and crashes than normally, usually this happens during the events, then more players start whining about the situation obviously. Only when there's enough negative publicity Zenimax will react, in most cases it's just some statement on forums that they are aware of the situation and investigating it, also it's important to tell players that the performance is their top priority, which will get better in the future with some adjustments, but it all takes time and patience from the players. This is all nothing but calming the whining down while absolutely nothing will be done for the lag, issues are in our connections after all.

Server performance is an important message. While I'm glad the OP brings it up, let me just say that lacing it with vitriolic statements does nothing to further the discussion (as one sided as it may be) and serves only to change the message in a way that turns people away and is likely to shut it down.

People are upset and it's right to give that a voice. The latency on the PC/NA servers has also taken a significant jump. Supposedly there are to be some improvements later this year. I think it's fair to say the future success of this game depends on it.

Could just tell that players should learn to avoid online games like ESO and play Skyrim instead. This is exactly how ESO has been for quite long now, something is always too laggy or buggy and then players need to figure out the alternative ways to play the game, it doesn't matter at all what Zenimax has promised to do in most cases.

I agree with you about lacing my statements, however, at this point I have posted time and time over about it and still every single one of us get ignored. I'm completely fed up and no longer wish to take part in experiencing any gameplay they have to offer, because it always and forever will be a crap experience from here on out.

Let my opinion be another whisper in the wind, whatever ZoS. Game is uninstalled so it doesn't matter anymore. Bye guys, been good getting to know all of you over the many years.

Players are simply leaving the game even many would still like to play, if things would have been actually done as told by Zenimax in many cases, now they don't seem to even bother doing anything to keep their paying customers playing or even much care. Many new players are still coming all the time so why bother, it's just all about business after all.

My EU account has been stuck in character selection screen since Wrathstone arrived so about 3 months now, I have still the option to pay for monthly membership. I asked in my last support ticket what's the plan to fix my account finally and would it be fine if my membership payments were late for months, no answer for either question so I closed the ticket as not being constructive for my issue. I'm sure they were just busy closing threads and removing comments on forums and had no time to answer my pointless questions. Account being completely unplayable for 3 months is not any serious or urgent issue at all, it will be fixed soon like many other things in the game. Someone had account stuck for 2 years now so patience is needed indeed.

Well, that was a singularly unhelpful assessment.

PvP is the sole MMO portion of this game....well...if you know what the letters of that tired acronym mean.

And that may be the root of the problem, alas. Their lead host programmer has worked on genuine MMOs and has developed host libraries created for precisely that purpose. But my understanding is that ESO employs a third party solution (Hero Engine) which may limit their options here.

I play in the 30-day no-CP campaign, and we still run into major lag issues there. It's not just the "one campaign" that you're claiming it's a problem in. Many a guild run has been derailed when nobody could fire off skills in a keep fight.

Mojave and I are in the same guild. Members range in age from 18 to 81. These aren't crazed fools seeking to join the nearest horde and either kill or perish en masse.

You work as a team and you can't get your builds from popular sites like Alcast's. Rather you assemble a group composition of roles and builds that fit like puzzle pieces and numbers rarely make the difference in fights. Leadership and teamwork do. And you commit to the campaign and victory for your faction over the length of the campaign. It doesn't end in an hour or two with the death of an AI-driven monster in a scripted encounter.

You don't jump around campaigns or factions any more than you abandon one trial for another midway through.

This is original massively multiplayer online gaming.

We pay the same money. Buy the same expansions. Spend crowns on the same silly things, including flaming mounts and kitty cat bankers ;)

We deserve neither the scorn of people wholly unfamiliar with this portion of the game, nor the neglect of the game's developers.

If the tools the developers have are not appropriate to the game they created and sold, then either develop appropriate tools or stop taking money from players of that game and either shut it down or redesign it to fit what the engine can handle.

It's not only PvP. Had to disband our PvE raid in veteran Sunspire yesterday due to how horrible the ping was for everyone in the instance. (PC/EU btw).

What bothers me is that all these promoters/twitch streamers who has a big influence on ESO keeps quiet about these issues. I know alcast talks about these things on his streams sometimes but other than that I rarely see big streamers bringing up the *** performance.

I'm not making that claim. Someone else earlier in the thread made it. I don't spend my days in the zergs. If and when I go to Cyrodil it's to a least populated campaign so I can get stuff done.
