Daimonion82✭✭✭✭This kind of giveaways are just not fair. I think it would be better not give anything than giving like this. The real problem is PC vs. console difference. On PC we need to watch one stream in specific moment, which is horrible not only in Europe (people have life, work, have to sleep). Console players can just log in during much more sensible time window.
My idea is - instead of "everything vs. nothing", please divide giveaways between stream viewers and the rest of playerbase. For example - mount from twitch AND crates from logging in. Or two crates from twitch and two crates from logging in. Would be fair, don't you think?3 -

PC players can earn crates every month. And those crates, even if they don't reward a mount, give you consumables you can turn into gems and redeem for mounts. Do you also think PC players shouldn't be given those crates because console players can't get them?5 -

I've only recently bought this mount for 100 gems because I think it's one of the best looking senches but I still think it's a great giveaway and told all my friends who played ESO in the past about it and they seemed excited to get it and come back to the game for a look see.2 -

navystylz_ESO✭✭✭✭I foresee a lot of pissed off PC users who for some reason will have missed this announcement, or not have their account linked to twitch and miss out getting the mount and crates. Moreso because console users don't have to do anything special. They only need to be accidentally playing the game at the right time and kill 1 monster.
Just like with every patch, major announcement that people would have known for weeks, there are ALWAYS people who missed out on the information somehow, and comment about brand new things on patch day/xpac day/whatever. A good chunk of those players will have been playing the game during the time that console players were, but unlike the console players get absolutely nothing.
I will be tuning in of course. But that's my prediction.1 -

Yeah, so we can't have a proper tiger mount, as a tiger was a free loyalty mount and a few people (at least some of whom bought their accounts on eBay) might object.
Not on the basis that they like the way it looks, or like tigers, but on the basis that they use it to try to brag (sometimes, obviously, falsely) about how they have played since launch/beta.
But, we can have a mount we paid gems for (having paid real money for Crowns, for crates) given away free to people who watch a stream.
While receiving nothing else as compensation.
Have I understood this right?

nope, just the crates, if you already have the mount. that's the precedent anyways; back when they gave away white wolf - it was the same way. on one hand, it would be nice if we got something extra, on the other hand... I had that mount for years now, so I don't mind it being a freebie now. and crates are good for gems. I've given up hope when it comes to getting black and red kitty mount, but new necros could use some extra riding lessons.
I've had mine for about 3 months.
I paid money for the Crowns for the crates.

I am a little salty about this but im thankful for the 5 crates, but this just motivates me NOT to buy anything from the crown store anymore if they going to throw us free items few months after its "limited edition release please buy it wont return again this year" items.

They never said it wouldn't be available for free at a later date. They never said it wouldn't be available at a discount at a later point. It's the same as any other purchase.2 -
