Should have be like cursed weapon from Lineage II (Zariche and Akamanah).
    Vol need downside.

Cursed weapon in L2 give lot of CP (like health) to the owner, better stat and stat keep grow while killing ppl.
But here are the downside :
    - Infinite karma (if you died with this you gonna drop all your gear)
    - No grouping posibility
    - Can't be healed
    - Can't talk with other (in any way)
    - Cursed weapon can be destroyed when upgrading after kill to much people.

Interesting idea, implementation and in practice it is awful.

It needs to be tweaked. Idea: the faction set to score the most at the next eval shouldn't be able to pick up the hammer. It might be that easy to fix.

It would be a lot better if it despawned when the first person to pick it up dies. So if you want to really use it, your faction has to really commit to it.

Since Volendrung has been introduced I've mostly played in non-50 Cyrodiil, which is not faction locked. I spend a lot of time in that campaign as it's where I like to level characters and usually the PvP is more fun (for me) than at endgame. But Voledrung is spoiling the enjoyment.

There's two main problems. Firstly the artifact is stupidly overpowered, especially when it comes to breaking down keep walls. Secondly, certain players are abusing this artifact by manipulating who controls it and how.

I realise the intent is for Volendrung to shake up the balance of power in Cyrodiil when it spawns, but it almost never works out like that. It tends to reinforce the balance of power instead, making the strong stronger. Every time it spawns one of two things usually happens:

Either it winds up in hands of the most powerful players on the leaderboard, who always seem able to get to it first, or if not have someone engineer a way to get it into their hands, even if this means cross-faction co-operation (having a stooge from the faction it spawns in deliver it to them and suicide so the artifact can change sides).

Or else a cross-faction troll picks up Volendrung and either does nothing with it, deliberately takes it away from the action, or suicides on the slaughterfish with it in order to despawn it.

This cross faction trolling is worse on a non-locked campaigns like non-50, but would still be possible on locked campaigns via voice chat. But the ease of relogging to an alt on a different faction on non-locked campaigns really opens Volendrung up to abuse.

Terrible idea and and even worse implementation. It probably needs to be removed from non-locked campaigns and beyond that it needs to not spawn for whoever currently has an emperor.

I wouldn't call that player a troll. That's the most sensible thing to do with the ***.

seeing as there is no 0 option...

Suggestions on how to fix it

1: make it so that if you get emp while holding it, you explode killing everybody within 20 meters of you
2: make it so the leading faction can't pick it up
3: if your faction takes the lead while holding it, you wither and die in seconds instead of minuets.
4: the stat changs from picking it up also need to extend to weapon damage and crit to allow mag users to make use of it
5: you really should be allowed to re-arrange the power bar
6: have the power taper down based on the number of allies nearby

    And that's it.

Nice twist but poor execution. Needs a few tweaks, it should primarily be for the underdog alliance.

Winning alliances shouldn’t be able to pick it up depending on how much they’re winning by, the alliance with the most keeps shouldn’t be able to, emp alliance shouldn’t be able to etc.

The weapon is fine, who can pick it up is the issue and the Zerg that comes with it. However, the Zerg that comes with it is mostly due to the fact any alliance can pick it up.

The faction with emp should not be allowed to pick it up.

It should be an anti emp type thing.

Should be 2 deciding factors when spawning.

    1. Emp faction cannot pick it up and it won't spawn there.
    2. Out of the 2 last factions whoever owns the least keeps gets the spawn. Both non emp factions can pick it up.

Yep ZOSie puts in the Hammer which just adds to their already pathetic game performance in cyro. Take the damn thing out and concentrate on fixing the performance issues.

When zos turns their ban hammer into a daedric artifact and puts it in the game. This is literally meme worthy. Even better that it spawns 9 times out of 10 on the DC side that already has emp. I'm sitting at the starting gate yelling: "Catch me outside how ba dah!"

If an alliance has emp the hammer should spawn in some middle ground between the other 2 alliances.

Where do you think they got their ideas from? ZOS design meeting went like this:
Wheeler: We need to put something new into Cyrodiil to shut the whining about lag for a while.
Nameless MMO market scout: Let's throw Demonic Sword Zariche in there!
Firor: That would trigger ES lore junkies and NCsoft.
Several people in the room giggled over the idea of lore junkies going ham.
Firor: No, seriously. NCsoft would suck us dry, then make us play their game. Or our game. Forget it!
Tuttle: We can change the name, make it Daedric hammer instead of Demonic sword, and say Jyggalag threw it in.
Wheeler: Good, put it in. Just don't mention Jyggalag, they might become suspicious it has something to do with lag.
