How many in-game bugs do you experience daily?

I just this minute picked up my daily writs in Elsweyr.
I did the WW writ, ran passed the bench to BS and saw that the floor was soupy as I was running onto it.
My 'toon ran in place at the point of entry, but I saw another character run passed me to the anvil.

At that point - The ground disappeared, and turned blue.
    I fell through the ground.
I haven't seen that happen in about 2 years.

No bugs at all, here. I must be lucky.

The most frequent ones for me on Xbox are mostly cosmetic:

    - cross-eyed bug (permanent)
    - invisible weapons
    - NPC's facing the wrong direction, my characters facing the wrong direction
    - textures not loading
    - floating objects
    - visible player pets with invisible players
    - running on mount
    - "riding" underneath mount

Just looking at cosmetics, there will be 5-6 different bugs every time I play the game. That's not counting the ones that actually affect gameplay (like enemies who can't be targeted, bodies and nodes that can't be looted, and quest givers who load underground).

    NA/PC here.

NPCs facing the wrong direction, yeah, that one is annoying to fight against.
You run around behind a badguy and while facing the other way he does damage to you with a bow or staff.

Floating objects- I see that at writ turn in a lot, the boxes floating in the air.
And sometimes it's the turn-in box that isn't even there.
I've backed out of range of a writ turn-in box that was missing, and saw it rise up out of the crate it was supposed to be on.

I didn't have invisible weapons, but there were a few times my sorc would use a dagger that I equipped as a damage staff until I relogged later.

Bodies and nodes that can't be looted - I'm seeing that one more and more, up to several dozen times a day since it started a few days ago. An enemy that you kill in the wild, (animals, mostly) disappears at death and teleports a few meters away where they glow but you can't loot them.
There have been suggestions how to get around that - going back along the path a few feet, killing another NPC near by, riding away and coming back,.... but the suggestions only work 1/2 the time, and waste a lot of time.

I fell through a muddy floor at crafting in Elsweyr, today. The muddy floor turned blue as I was stuck on it, and I watched the scenery disappear above me as I was falling.
I hadn't seen that one in almost 2 years.

The fact that the unlootable glowing bodies has increased from none for the first week of Elsweyr to dozens/day in the last few days is especially troubling.
    Relogging doesn't make a difference.
Restarting the client doesn't make a difference, either.

    Endless bugs, all the time...

    It's comical.

Bugs affecting animation, bugs like LOS and false "out of range" issues that cause you to not be able to hit anything, or loot afterwards (e.g. Caan) and visual telegraphs being buried in the terrain (some dragon spawn areas).

    Soupy ground animation bug.

Mount bug, guild store bugs, preview bugs (e.g. outfit station), bugs in dungeons, quest bugs...

These quest bugs include progress impeding bugs, like the quest items disappearing if you kill the boss first (or anyone in your group does)

Still happens with Caan, a year after release and will, presumably, still be happening with the buggy Elsweyr quests in a year, too.

If they can't sort out these bugs, then they need to stop designing fetch and kill dailies, all the time and just make us kill a boss without fetching anything.

But, they don't even recognise the issue and try to work around it.

They just carry on, year after year, doing the same thing and then not fixing it.

Apologies to any bugs I may have left out, but there is only so much time in a day...

I find it hard to believe all the people voting anything other than more than 4 are being honest with themselves. Your bars really swap every time? You never have your resources go to zero for no reason? You never see people running on their horse? Your relentless focus shows 5 and means it? Then there's content stuff. Things like, going through walls in crypt 2, the door in wayrest sewers, the upstairs boss in vhrc getting stuck, ect.

We're not even playing the same game if you people are lucky enough to avoid all that. My guess is that you are so used to the little things that you don't count them and if it's known you avoid it.

Right? I'll most certainly call their BS. Game is so full of bugs on every single PC I use. If it was one PC I own I'd say it was me, and if I was certainly the only one, then I could buy what these ZOS booty-kissers say, but I don't because they won't prove it, and it's totally anecdotal.

And exactly how would you like me to prove that I DON'T encounter bugs as often as some other people? I would if I could. I guess I could make a video of me running through a busy area with a ping of 110 and an FPS of 90 which is where I consistently run.

The truth is little glitches every once in a while just don't bother me and I don't get any bugs that are consistent enough to even be considered mildly irritating.

So, you didn't do Summerset dailies and you haven't done Elsweyr dailies, then?

Because, if you did, you would know at least one of each are bugged.

    Poll is Fake News!

I take it you work for ZoS?

There are endless bugs, all the time.

...and the worst thing is, it doesn't just affect me, it affects new players who don't get what is going on and you have to try to explain to them, over and over and help them abandon the quest, retake it and kill the boss again.

    Sometimes, more than once!

    This is unacceptable.

Then, of course, there is the hovering dragon bug.

Someone called it "the beautiful bug" in zone chat, the other day, as it was happening.

Which proves they can also see it, as does the fact that countless people were standing under the dragon shooting at it, for ages.

I thought that was quite poetic.

Of course, it was less beautiful, when it happened during the main story quest and the dragon just stayed hovering out of range, permanently.

Then, when I tried to leave and come back, I couldn't get back to the dragon.

That seemed to resolve itself, or be resolved, as I got back in the next day and killed the dragon, but still.

The end of one of the Elsweyr quests was bugged too (at the final boss stage), for days.

Had to abandon and redo the entire quest line.

Zo$ stopped having "bugs" a long time ago. They have "game features" now.

    Yeah...

...and of course, that leads us to the biggest bug of all - the bug that led us down the path of animation cancelling/weaving.

ZoS need to stop "embracing" and start fixing.

Having said that, re. dailies and the embracing of bugs: it would at least help if they said; "Make sure you gather all the [insert quest item name here] before killing [insert boss name here]. Otherwise you may find that some, or all, of the items have disappeared." in bold, in the quest text.

Then it would at least mean you could point newer people to that and hopefully, fewer people would start on the boss first.

I don't go looking for bugs.
    They find me.

How does one go 'looking' for muddy/soupy ground?
How does one go 'looking' for animals and NPCs that will glow after killing them, but won't let us loot them?
How does one go 'looking' for people who are running on mounts, or 'look' to make it happen to us?
How does one go 'looking' for other players who are riding invisible mounts, or worse, riding a mount while moving buried in the ground up to their waist or neck?
How does one go 'looking' for places in the game where all of the scenery disappears, and you can see every node and NPC all the way to the horizon unobstructed by scenery?

I could go on, but I'd just be exaggerating or lying.

Even my post above, with the link to the screenshots I posted this morning on IMGUR are exaggerated screenshots of me plummeting through the blue, while looking up at the underside of the crafting area in Elsweyr.

Yes, I have seen the running on mount bug a number of times, but it wasn’t until yesterday that I learned it was a bug. I thought it was a neat little trick that people had learned, that I just couldn’t seem to do. :D

I am enjoying this game immensely and have taken out a ESO+ subscription for two reasons: 1) The bag 2) I want to support the devs.

Some people claim that the game is “totally broken” or “unplayable” - more exaggeration. But that’s fine. We are all entitled to our opinion and exaggerations. I for one love this game. XB1X seems to be the better experience from what I have been reading. Not sure about PS as I don’t really hear much from them. It’s normally the PC players who seem to experience many of the problems.

I was passing by in the game yesterday when I saw a whole bunch of XB players attacking a dragon. So I went running in and helped out, and we killed it. It was awesome.

    I've been playing since launch.
I've been supporting the game with a sub since day one.
That in NO way makes me special, it just means that I (and many like me) have been here a looooong time.

I have 11,000 hours of played time.
We've been through some rough times on occasion.
Promises you've not seen have been made.
    We're still patient.
But we're not blind to the issues we see and experience on a regular basis.

I'll be here when you get your 'Five Year' token.
And we'll compare stories some more.

That is dedication!!! Impressive number of hours. :o I bet you have seen many changes.

I brought ESO for my 11-year-old nephew when it first came out. He tried to convince me that I would enjoy it too, but I wasn’t keen on playing an MMO, so I declined. 200 years later and I purchase it (shortly after Summerfest came out). I wish I had listened to my nephew. It’s a fantastic game.

Might depend on what one considers a bug, I guess.

Personnaly, any invisible wall that exists for no reason I will consider a bug. If the character should be able to get there, like it's not the border of the zone or anything, it visually looks like it's possible, and there is something behind where you can actaully go if you take another way, it is a bug for me. And there are tons of those.

I'll also count MISSING invisible walls. Those that are there to prevent you from falling in an inescapable hole, for instance. Would be even better if there was no inescapable holes, and that the scenery was actually complete, but hey... Either that's because an invisible wall missing or a rock missing, falling into an inescapable hole counts as a bug. I usually get one or two of those per play session.

And then, there's jumping. This all thing is a giant bug all by itself. Jump while being close to a ledge upon which you expect to climb ? You'll either jump vertically only, or bump back. It used to work differently, but now just climbimb onto something has become a chore. Hence, it's a bug. And I do alot of climbing.

So, I'd say, just with those 3 things, I have several tens of bugs each play session. If you just count that any number of occurences of the same bug still only counts as one, then those 3, each times, and then anything else now and then.

Like, for instance, the extremely long delay to start teleporting, that lets you wonder if you did actually click properly, and gives you way enough time to re-click, which will only cancel the teleportation once it does start. Long, very, very long loading screens. Zanil or the banker NPC sometimes going missing.

Bosmers being refered to as stealthy. Argonians refering to themselves as resistant to poison. Majors characters such as vanus Galerion looking for me when I'm just a nobody fresh out of the tutorial... Oh wait, no, those are not bugs, that's poor consistency in storytelling and disdain for lore.
