    Half cloaks that don’t go all the way down and can be added/animated as part of a chest piece would be nice. Not too much longer than light Yokudan shoulders and only in the back.

    I would pay 0 crowns for it but definitely collect it in game just like the Yokudan motif.

    Even this would seem to require some major work. We do not have cloth physics which is why the only cape in the game is stapled to our buts and does not move.

    To add cloth physics would require major rework of the game that Zos seems set on not doing and the player base spoke loudly when it expressed it was upset that the cape with the Breton hero costume was stiff.

    It’s not based on cloth physics, it’s based on animation. If you use that extra bone in the back of the model that allows for the different pieces of the Treasure Hunter costume to move separately then you just have to animate the behave to work like ponytails. They don’t fly off the head, but they sway a little when you move and jump.

    Nope. They always clip, and they never move right. No interest. However, if they add them, those who like them can have them, and I'll just ignore them as I always do.

    the only place i can see capes is if they are an alternative option for necklaces so you can get capes in sets too. Issue is clipping and the engine couldnt handle the cloth physics of everyones capes. theyd have to include other cloth physics too

    Think of the Prophet’s shoulders, a style page like that. Just to the upper back. The front has barely anything, a little overlap and a string enclosure. If it wasn’t for the ratty texture it would be 9/10 the way there to what I’m talking about.

    It does animate, manually, by being a part of the run cycle animation. What you mean is there isn’t a physics engine that decides on it’s own how to manipulate the “cloth” based on variables and user input, like Darth Vader’s cloak in that super funny video.

    This isn’t the video I was thinking about, but you can clearly see it is a reaction, a calculation based on input. An animation like I’m talking about is the thing that causes your staff and shield to bounce on your back. That’s apart of the run/walk/jump animation loop. Khajiit and Argonian tails aren’t physics, they’re manually animated.

    If the engine could support the dynamics of a cape then I’d love to have more robe like attire that reacts to physics. But if the engine can’t handle it, which I believe it cannot, they’ll just look terrible and there’s no reason to have them.

    clipping on everything, moreso for characters using shields, staves, two handers....locking out some armor styles cause wings don't work with capes/cloaks, anyone using bows......
