When they will create an MMO without questing??
Of course is a huge improvement ESO style over WOW "bring me 10 drops of something"... but i hate questing anyway... i rarely read something anymore... most of the stories are boring and heavy on dialogues.
I always say, if i want to read i buy a book, if i want to watch films i go to the movies (Dragon age series with a cutscene every 5 seconds).
I wanna play... just it...
Look to skyrim example: i can explore and, when i see a keep i.e., i can have an strategic approach, think, experiment, test my strength, my build, take my time and have fun... but questing isnt fun, for me is just one more heritage from old rpg and classic mmos. Games need to evolve.
I will hope for the next 50 years for an ESO style game heavy on exploration, character progression (build), experimentation and strategic thinking. With no silly stories, tons of dialogues, "talk to someone", "bring me something", "enter somewhere", etc...
"Kill the bandit leader" type are enough tho.
Meanwhile, i rush quests and take my time with world exploration.
You see, im not lazy to read and follow a storytelling, its just not interesting for me. Not at all. I prefer to burn my brains to think strategically on how to clean a difficult dungeon solo, or how to build a good character, or to find hidden secrets.
I bet theres people who think like me.
