Why some one just steal it from us ? What the hell - why do i put option or not make my logs private - other people see all about my characters - my rotation and skill and equipment.
It is thing that i have through my hard work - i want it be unique just form me.

We don't own anything in this game. Not our achieves or characters or accounts; especially not our builds. We're "renting". The "developers" or whatever can't steal what they already own...PC NA

@Danikat if i understand correctly someone has to use the tool you download from the site, log, then upload. Anyone in the group can do it. A lot of guilds will have logs just for the guild and/or certain cores.PC NA

✭✭✭✭✭While you can choose to have your data shown anonymously, I agree that there should be an option for it not to be shown at all. I've no idea how it actually works as I don't get involved in that kind of play but any such system should be made entirely optional if it is not already. I suppose the danger then is that guilds and groups would kick you if you didn't agree to participate.11 -

The new thing is that 3rd party sites like ESOlogs can now also see what your build is w/o you personally telling them.

I respectfully disagree that this is something to worry about. No one can cause adverse effects to you because they know what sets you run. You maintain your gear.

I agree that there's no issue with ZOS collecting information, it's the availability of it to third party sites without express consent that is the issue - not least if it identifies personal information such as an account name. I would have thought that under the UK's General Data Protection Regulations, for example, it's the taking and holding of information that is restricted without express consent and not just whether it's then held openly or anonymously. There may well be provision in the TOS for ZOS to take and hold such information, but any third party arrangements should by default be set to disabled and not simply to anonymously.8 -

No one really cares about your "unique", "play the way you like" build. They care whether you can do the content or not. This is the same for Canadian Privacy and I have made an official complaint to the Canadian Privacy Commission in regards to this. ZOS is required under the privacy law to get Meaningful Consent to allow this Third Party Company to have ANY data from my gameplay in ESO as that data can be used to profile me, even if other users cannot see my username.
I also sent a message to ESO prvacy email address to request them to address this and they have not responded, therefore I will allow my Government to sue ZOS now.
