How does data get onto that site? It's not automatic because I checked and none of my characters or my guilds are on there.
Normally with sites like that players have to add their data voluntarily, either through an API code or an addon, so if you don't want to share it you just...don't. I couldn't see anything on the site to say, but I assume it's the same.

One do his build throught hard work - other just steal ?
I would contend that our Usernames are personal data and the ESOLog does collect that even when it is set to Anonymous.
Everything else is fair game, and ZOS was collecting this data regardless, they always knew what your build was.
Being precious about your build being viewable by others is a special kind a narcissism that I don't think we should be accommodating anyways.
The new thing is that 3rd party sites like ESOlogs can now also see what your build is w/o you personally telling them.

I agree that there's no issue with ZOS collecting information, it's the availability of it to third party sites without express consent that is the issue - not least if it identifies personal information such as an account name. I would have thought that under the UK's General Data Protection Regulations, for example, it's the taking and holding of information that is restricted without express consent and not just whether it's then held openly or anonymously. There may well be provision in the TOS for ZOS to take and hold such information, but any third party arrangements should by default be set to disabled and not simply to anonymously.
By creating an Account, You agree that You do not own the Account, any user names created on the Account, any Content stored or associated with an Account (such as digital and/or virtual assets, achievements, virtual currency, and other Downloadable Content), or related data associated with the Account.
