They do not stack because ZoS doesn't feel we should be able to transmute an entire armor suit on a whim. They want us to work for it a bit.
Or they do not stack because they are not all the same. Some might be worth one and some might be worth four. Or maybe nothing that is random when you open it can stack.and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."0 -

It costs in game gold, and if you have eso+ you get 20 slots
Go make some gold and increase your bank. I haven't spent a single real dollar on my bank and it seems to be holding quite a lot.

Soooo... You don't keep the gear.... for specific characters.... in their own inventory.... rather than filling the bank.... because.... why?
You can expand your inventory with in game gold. Gear takes a maximum of 13 slots. How much gear you need for one character?

Well.... I have to say that's not always how it works for me. I keep making lowbies. So I need to keep lowbie stuff in the bank, and since I always seem to have lowbies in all three gear types that's - well.... all three sets in there. Then again, eventually I'll fill all available character slots, so it will stop at some point. 16/18 on one account, 13/18 on the other.... won't be long.
But then, I'll probably set up a third account and add characters to the pool.... it's how I roll.0 -

Exactly. I cant believe this game still has the same bad designs it had at launch. It is truly unreal. I keep stupidly coming back hoping for QoL changes only to find it's the same non sense.
Since launch we’ve had the following changes:
- Double bank space for ESO+
- Crafting bag for ESO+
- Storage chests for everyone

That's a silly reason to not play a Stamina character. You are telling us that you sub (so mats are not an issue) and 480 bank spaces, 200 spaces per character, and house storage is not enough to carry the load?
The problem is NOT the amount of space then.
If you furnish seriously, it is.
Yes, you can assign various houses as warehouses, to hold all the furnishings you aren't currently using, but may need in future.
However, it's very easy to lose track if you do it that way and when you want to place the item, assuming you can even remember you already have it, you then have to go around your warehouses trying to find it and then go back to the house you are furnishing, to place it.
Also, it's wasteful of house slots to put things you have multiples of in your warehouses.
So, you end up putting them in your bank/storage chests and that soon adds up to a lot of storage slots taken.2 -

GW2 has only an account-wide bank, and you can only buy expansions with gems.
SWL has only a character bank, also very limited without paying money.
BDO has different storages per town, which you can expand with money or contribution points. It's an interesting system, but not as practical as ESO's.

Everyone who has ever subbed or said ESO+ is worth it just for the craft bag? It's why the inventory burdens in this game do not and will not ever get resolved.love is love0 -

Honestly, it is kinda tedious having to manage dozens of Sets for multiple characters.
Respeccing from Magicka and Heal to Stamina and Tank is hellish. I am always seriously asking myself "Is it worth doing the whole swapping inventory-thing all over again"?
I am not saying I dont like that ESO has sooo much gear (I dont think any other game has more Endgamegear). But it is a logistical nightmare.0 -

But one should complain about things worth complaining, like things that could be usefull, quality of life improvements, that can't be obtained for free (game gold doesn't count, it doesn't cost you anything but a little time) and costs way too much in crowns.

Hotel6✭✭✭i Maxed out the bank to 240 slots. the last 40 slots cost like 320k gold which is stupidly high. All i can say is that is not enough. and ESO + shouldnt be a solution. u arent suppose to pay extra real money for standart qol in this magnitude of MMO. at least increase it to 400 slots.0

You get the bank on max by just playing the game, like, honestly, you can farm the money for the most expensive Upgrade in a week by just doing a few random dungeons and your daily quests each day, and you get an extra 60 slots per character with 60 extra from the mount for just 15.000 gold more…
I mean, what are you doing, collecting every set possible in case another set gets FotM? Even without the ESO Plus bonus I never had any problems with storage, and since I decided to go ESO plus, the crafting bag made my bank nearly empty until I decided to store all treasure maps and ressource maps for "later" (aka never) use...1 -

Game makes you go through loads of skill trees for vital parts of your ability pool to maximise dps or pvp capability.
Game makes you farm tons of skyshards continously. To be able to get your passives done.
Game has 0 shared outside CP and the ability to buy skyshard packs for the lands you have already done for Cash bought currency.

People were complaining about Necro being a new class because there’s too much time investment to changing chars. Majority of people refuse to change mains because of their progression.
This game isn’t alt friendly and it doesn’t encourage you to make alts either just because people do make Alts doesn’t mean it is even if the game is the most alt unfriendly thing avaliable people will still make alts
But honestly I’ve played alt friendly games and they generally follow a lot of account wide sharing. Which this game does not have0 -

It still gets full quickly. I have too many writs I can't quite do yet, gear to research on alts, recipes, other potentially useful things, etc. It fills up far too quickly.

✭✭✭✭✭I think people look at the storage issue the wrong way. It is not bank space that is the issue. It is character storage space that is the issue. Another MMORPG I played before ESO has 700 possible slots for each charcter. 100 bag space and a storage for another 600 spaces. Yes, it has about 500 spaces for account storage.
So it is really the entire big picture of storage that Zos keeps so low but the issue is mostly on the Character side of things.0
