Well dragon is just a boss, so it is working properly, the skill I mean, but for RP purposes, if you think that dragons should be flagged as bosses resistant to soul trap skill, well I can agree with you, it is not fully lore compliant since we are not dragonborn. ✭✭✭✭✭You can Soul Trap players or NPCs of any playable race or humanoid Daedra without Black Soul Gems. You can also Soul Trap the same enemy another player has Soul Trapped.

Well I looked it up, the lore vise, even the Grand Soul Gem cannot absorb dragon soul. Even more important:
" as only the dragons and Dragonborn have the power to permanently kill a dragon by absorbing its soul."

You're not trapping the entire soul - we have no Azura's Star. You're just getting the measly part the soul gem can hold.
Skeever/Dragon - the sad little soul gems we have in this game view them the same.
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...
