I am sick of people who think its cool and rebellious to trash talk the Crown Store and the fact that you can purchase items through it.... There is NO pay to win stuff in the Crown Store, and if you think there is your a noob. People need to realize with a long term online game such as ESO, Zenimax or any other game developer would not be able to sustain GOOD updates and gameplay improvements for more than the initial year after release! Ultimatetly if you trash talk the Crown store than you are stating that you would rather play a much lesser quality game.

Guess WoW and FFXIV don't exist, who survive with a cash shop that isn't near as intrusive as the crown store.

Survived, maybe. Kinda doubt it, but I'll give you a maybe. Thrived? No, I don't think so.
I, for one, would not be here if ESO was subs only. In fact a great deal of the population would not be here if the game was subs only. And as for WoW, it's not the subs and extremely limited cash shop that keep people around. They've been losing subs in droves pretty much since Cataclysm, and BFA has apparently been the final straw for a great many. That's why WoW classic is now a thing. ✭Without the crown store they'd probably not be able to offer a free play version of the game, it would be sub only. As long as they don't add P2W items in the store I'm fine with it honestly. FangOfTheTwoMoons✭✭✭✭✭Crown store takes away from the game. There's stuff in there that should be obtainable in game through achievements. The only thing we get from achievements is Titles, Dyes, a few skins, and other miscellaneous useless suff. If they made half of the costumes, mounts, and weapon styles available in game it would add more things to do. What if I'm stating that FOMO tactics, like mounts that stay around for less than a week, are arm twisting, trying to milk the players of their money, on Zos terms? Does that make me an edgelord that doesn't like quality too? I guess I should be happy at the opportunity of throwing money at them whenever they will allow me to, and not think too much about it, right? Guess what, not. Instead of gladly paying a sub, like I do in WoW, and occasionally splurging on something fancy from the store, I'm left wondering if I really want to sub to play the DLCs, once I finish playing the base game, and give any extra money whatsoever to this company.6 -

Oh yeah such quality. Group finder has been broken for years. BGs has been bugged since it launched. Servers are being crippled but Zo$ don't seem to care. Demra✭✭✭Currently the game is unplayable for me and my friends (talking about performance). Just having the game exist with no p2w store doesn't really help us much.
