THIS. Both Magicka classes are plagued with micromanagement skills.
Both Magicka classes cannot even use a spammable execute.
While Stamina can select of three spammable weapon executes.
Even skills are similar (Skull mimics Cliff Racer, BlastBones mimics Fissure, ...).
so Necros feel like reskinned Wardens: Warden skin is "life", Necro skin is "death".
People pay for a reskinned Warden class... reskinned Mag failure and reskinned Stam success.

That does not fill me with confidence, been wanting a Necro for years, hopefully i will be fixed by the time it hits PS4.

Exactly. Currently, Sorc is the only Mag class in PvP which still can compete with Stam.Imperial_Voice wrote: »The more I play Necro the more I want to go back to my Sorc.
I'm enjoying my Necro. The Blastbones thing certainly needs to be fixed. I'm ok with the lack of an execute and permanent pets, though. I've never been a fan of the execute spam gameplay.
It's a very self sufficient class and I like the theme. I think most of the complaints boil down to "it's not OP" and "it's not the Necromancer from Diablo 3".

Except for the legit observations immediately above your post.

Oh, you mean, except for the "personal opinions and popular gamer hyperbole" above my post.
It's ok, I understood what you meant.

This.
I have stam everything already. I don’t want another endless hail/ caltrops/ vigor alt. I was hoping to finally be a caster. If I’m just a different color warden, might as well go back to Warden.

I love the immense effort you have to go through to make the claim you do when several posts that are directly above yours point out the legitimate issues with necro right now.

What? I'm not allowed to like it? My input isn't acceptable if I'm not engaging in some whiny pity party?

You can like it fine. Critiques don’t equal hate. If I make a treehouse for my niece and she said she wanted the trim in light blue not bright green do I call it a whiny pity party? Geesh.

Blastbones is glitched and does far less damage than the tooltip implies it should, not to mention its horrendous pathing and the fact that they can be killed in pvp.
The class lacks many things that most other classes have such as an execute and while you can pick these up with weapon skills the passives actively (passively?) Discourage you from doing so if youre a dps.
The beautiful flaming doom balls are weak compared to other classes spammables and the ricochet skulls fail to properly proc sometimes.
Its just a bit surprising it was allowed to make it to live in the state its in.

If underwhelming is being the only class I hit over 100k on, on the new trial dummy, and pulling 70k+ on each dragon in Vet Sunspire then.... I guess?
You have to really understand the necros skills in order to reap the benefits of the class. The learning curve is higher at first, but once you figure it out, their dps and rotations are pretty static.
The whole class (from dps perspective, since I’ve never healed or tanked with one yet) revolves around consuming corpses. Some of your highest hitting skills utilize them. So, create corpse, eat it for damage, win.
I will say that in raid, there are certain skills that are really buggy, so you can’t utilize their full potential yet. They are however, top of the stam dps leaderboards.
I have always loved the concept of a necromancer and when ESO was first announced and we didn't know anything about the classes yet I prayed necromancer would be one of them, which we of course didn't get so I had to settle with a shadowblade which was the only class I could remotely enjoy in this game but it has severely limited my enjoyment of the game overall through the years and the dissatisfaction with the lack of classes this game offers is the main reason I stop playing this game for over a year at a time only to come back and play in small bursts during a week or two tops.
Of course when they finally add necros they end up extremely disappointing in almost every single aspect and doesn't play anywhere near what a necro should and the entire class needs to be remade from scratch, but unfortunately that will never happen so I have now lost complete interest in the game now and really regret buying the expac and I probably won't be coming back at all.
I have been saying since the beginning that if Zeni ever decided to add necros to the game I bet they would end up like this, so I'm not surprised at all. I'm just really sad I was right.

Is not the 1st class who pull such numbers. On static target.... With bis gear and 2 class skills in rotation.
We speak about the class and how his skills perform. We dont speak about dw/bow build wep line performance.
Or is hard to see the diference?
All this raid builds are copy paste m8. The only diference are racial passives.

Lmao, show me then oh great one. Which other class performs as well and can outperform a stamnecro right now? I’ll be waiting for a while.
They’re not underwhelming from a damage perspective, which is what I gave, nothing more. Then I proceeded to say that the skills were clunky in different situations.

Magcro which so far is pretty much universally agreed upon to simply not freakin work.
Honestly I have no idea why people are saying Stamcros are good or even OP, specially if you consider all of the other stam classes they are on the bottom of the barrel vs Stamdens, StamDks, Stamplar, Stamden, Stamblade and even Stamsorc in a pvp and pve setting.

Looked on many posts to see if people feel the way I feel, and they do, but they try to guise it with half hearted sayings like “well this part isn’t too bad.”
I wasn’t a hardcore eso player, probably still not technically, but this is all I’ve been playing for the most part, and I’ve finally gotten around to playing with my other characters with different classes, so far having done Templar, warden, sorcerer, and necromancer all the way through and necromancer has been my least favorite, although after playing it, it’s definitely my favorite tank class, but that’s only because the other subclasses suck. Dps is very underwhelming, the most powerful thing doesn’t do squat, and I wanted to be a magcro dps but guess it’s stamcro or bust unless you want to die when fighting anything other than a wolf. I play strictly pve so if it doesn’t work out in pve then you definitely know it ain’t worth diddly in pvp. My khajiit necro is a joke and I don’t think I’ll go any further with him.
On a side note, why do all the armors suck except for heavy? With the exception of a couple races who look better in medium or light, the best looking ones are heavy. You would think they would have made certain races look better in certain ones given their natural calling, like for example khajiit should look best in medium armor, seeing as how that’s their racial skill. Just something that’s been really grinding my gears
