I agree. The UI in general is a bit lacking in this game. No permanently clock, no way to see collected recipes, etc, without being at a crafting station, no estimate of queue time... There are a few things they could add.

They just need to add it right next to guild recuriment icon. It's a good feature to add because afterwards people will manage guild events better and make guilds better. Better guilds mean higher rentention of player base especially when just starting.

    ++ for this

Anything that makes it easier to organise and promote guild activities in-game would be super useful.

atm my guilds use discord to pin messages, have sign ups for events etc and it’s easy for people to miss them or simply be unaware they even exist. It predominantly disadvantages the newer, less experienced players, exactly those who benefit most from guild training activities.

But, again, this is a programming issue, not a game design/crown store colouring in exercise, so ZOS will find it hard to implement.

Sign ups would be nice too.

Yes I asked about an ingame calendar months ago but I didn't get a good reception.

    It would be nice.

I would much rather have something like EVE Online did where you have a personal calendar but any guilds can post events which appear as markers on your calendar. This way you can also have the game producer (ZOS) add events to the calendar you might be interested in.

So we could open up a calendar, see when drops were on Twitch, when ESO Live would be on next, what guild events from all our guilds are arranged and even set our own reminders.

    Why not both 😝.

But my point was message of day for most guilds is there calendar which is issue.

This would be very welcome but I can't see it coming any time soon. We use the Google Calendar and then embed it into our website, this give the options of clicking an activity and getting more information or links from it, you can see it here:

    https://www.skyrimredshirts.com/events

I know not every guild has a website but I would encourage guild leaders to try and build one, they are very easy to make and if you only want basic stuff then you don't need a domain, although they are cheap enough. I used wix.com as it's a lot easier to you than Wordpress imo.

It's like having to google skyshard locations. It's annoying for console players

People should not have to interact outside them game to make guild calendar events.

Sorry, I never thought of console players, we are PC only so it's no big deal to Alt tab to a website. In any case surely you also want to be able to see events in advance, like, "hmm what are we doing this Friday for the trial run?". If you want to know what's going on in real time then just ask in chat. However I do agree, as I already said, this would be a fantastic feature.

I am not console. It's just issue about immersion and user experience. It's bad user experience to have to go elsewhere outside game for something, especially something that is suppose to engage player more into game.

I don't necessarily agree with that.

Guilds can be more successful if they have accompanying websites, Facebook groups, twitter accounts, if they employ social media, a forum presence etc, the more external resources there are backing up and supporting the guild the more opportunities guild members have to interact, even when they are nowhere near the game, like at work. Yes, a calendar should be in the game, but I don't see it as a massive disadvantage to have it outside the game either.

However useful that is, it’s an external third party website.

We’re talking about something that will work in game so players don’t have to flip between multiple programmes to keep updated.

Sure, but u can join to event now even if not in game (from smartphone for example) on google calendar, raidplanner or in discord channel. With in-game event system u can see events only if u in game.

It's simple if you look at guild finder. You will see the issue is we need more in game mangement tools. There's a lot of poorly established guilds. The tools you mention work for some people, but many are suffering from a lack of tools.

    +1 to this idea.

However I kinda like @Turelus idea, where you have a personal calendar rather than a guild calendar. That way the player can updates their own event aside from just looking at guild events.

Auto updating guild calendars uses a lot of resources which I don't think ZoS plans on doing. It sucks for consoles players but any body wants to have a go at doing a ccalendar addon?

For now I'm using a google desktop calendar where I can actually type in notes and colour in the date page I want to stand out just by left clicking on each date I can type in notes and choose a colour for that day. I love it as it keeps me more organised.

Previously I asked for an ingame calendar cause I had so much trouble keeping up with dates and times for eso twitch events there were so many recently. I'm not doing that anymore. I just want this calendar so I can remember event dates and raid schedules and I can convert my times as I am not EDT times like most guilds I join.

To clarify, the way it would would would be a personal calendar, but if a guild you're in posts an event it will show on your calendar as well. Maybe with the option to show/hide events from G1, G2 etc.

That I can agree towards. Still I would hope guild events would be in guild interface.

Great suggestion !!! That would be such a nice improvement to have a calendar for our guilds. We are running all sorts of events with my main guild, and it's always so difficult to find place in the message of the day for announcing. We're a trading guild and we need our message of the day for all our infos. So usually we write just short announcement there for all our events, and people find infos on our discord.
I hope your suggestion will be heard !!!!!

We also lack the ability to do Guild mail, hate that I have to use a addon to send out mail to my guild. Then it can trigger a social lockout for flooding. It's gotten better but still should be a guild tool feature.

Would like to see a option to send a set message to members you kick. Gives an option to let them know why, such as they had become inactive x number of days.

Agree. For example, in new guild app exist tank, heal and dd role, but nothing about support role (which we use for pvp groups) or about mana or stamina dd.
