nope. not buying them. i AM using them as a guide of what I'm missing on alts, since they are all unlocked for purchase via my main so whenever I see something that is not grayed out on alt, I know at a glance that I can go there and finish it up, which is especially relevant when I realized just how many super easy starting zone skyshards i'm missing inexplicably on some of them

The zone guide has skyshards as well.

true but I have to be IN that zone to see the guide for it. skyshards are all on the same screen, regardless of where I am. i also know that there are various skillpoint addons, its just.. nice, big visual representation of the skyshard sale screen - I found to be easiest for me to use as a reference point at a glance :)

SKYSHARDS ARE WAY TO EASY TO COLLECT, SELLING THEM ON THE CROWN STORE IS WRONG AND UNNECESSARY.

IVE BEEN AGAINST A LOT THE MARKETING TEAM/CROWN STORE TEAM HAS DONE. BUT NOTHING MORE THAN THIS.

YOU ARE ACCOMMODATING THE WRONG PEOPLE IN THIS GAME.

    DONT BUY THEM.

Yeah I should give them money for this when they robbed my character of a free skill point, ZOS has some nerve.

    Its pay-2-win.

    Period.

I don't want to hear any more arguments about "convenience" ... if you have money - you can unlock immediately every skyshard in the game for your character, new or old. You immediately by doing that surpass veteran players who have been unlocking them for years all because you have the financial means to do so.

That is the definition of p2win.

Yeah but some people work hard and have money and others get to stay home smoke weed all day at moms house and collect sky shards.

True. I end up going to different zones when I collect surveys, so its easy to see the zone guide when I arrive. Your way works just as well.

ah, I see :D I only collect surveys on my crafter, who also happens to be the character I do most achievements on (including skyshards), so its for most surveys she is pretty much done with zone achievements. alts are bit... different :pensive:
and honestly, its just me finding unexpected silver lining in this whole system. i still think that we should have been able to buy skyshards for alts via in game gold, but.. ah well. only one that really needs all of them is a crafter, everyone else can do just fine without getting every possible skill point.

I would buy if it was account wide, but character-only? No, that's too much. Just hunt them as usual

At least one of your characters must have the achievement before others can buy the skyshards for that zone. I'd actually pay for each of my alts to never have to go anywhere near Cyrodiil except that I don't have the last two in each enemy zone, so ZOS have saved me some money.

Damn, I didn't think of that. Thanks mate, I know where to spend my crowns ! Never having to set foot in Cyrodiil ever again is totally worth spending some bucks.
The real-money cost of the Crowns is, by all account, $29.00 per purchase, i.e., per character. That is not particularly affordable for many TESO players. Which is also true for many of the Homesteads, aside from whether they are bought furnished.
    Who cares? It's one achievement.
Okay, so who cares? Which Achievement will be for sale in the Crown Store next? Which one -- if any -- will matter to you? *

When the nose of the camel is in the tent, the rest of the camel eventually follows.

    * The question is rhetorical, but I can't stop you from answering it. So, go ahead.

I ran around collecting mats and skyshards on all my alts until I had at least as many skill points as I required for my build, and then I relaxed and went completing zones at my leisure on them.

I see no reason to modify my behavior. I enjoy my little blits and blots of skyshard/crafting mat hoarding.

Price is too high, so even though I have all but Elsweyr unlocked for all shards on some characters not going that route. Will just grind them out
