I just went with something unpronounceable and, frankly, totally meaningless that just looked necromancer-ish to me! Didn't get far though, got out of the tutorial, reached the first wayshrine and CTD'd. After that I just shut the whole thing down and went to do something else.

I got two, both female. (Most of my characters are male, but I wanted some variety.)

Raising Hope is a potential future healer. Besides the more obvious aspects of that wordplay, health is known as "morale" in some games, including LOTRO.

La Belle Dame Sans Mercy is a potential future tank. In both the 15th Century French poem (whose title has the spelling I got) and the Keats one (which has the spelling I first tried for), the lady in question gets more insistent attention than seems to make sense ... but she's clearly the one in total control. That sounds tankish to me.

Note: I have no idea why the Medieval French version of the title has the more English-looking spelling while 19th Century English one looks more French. Clues would be appreciated.

I assume you have never played an mmorpg with multiple character creation. Saving a name consists of making a new character at then not playing it. Most online games that allow you to name characters have a grace period when you delete one the name doesn't become instantly available. This is called name saving or parking.

Best look up things if you don't know them, otherwise you look like an idiot.

I didn't get the name I was originally going to play...but since I have this thing called an imagination, I put on my big boy shoes and dealt with it.

Don't understand why people get so worked up over a silly name.

I created my Necromancer last weekend, named Knos Fearatu, and yes, he is a vampire and looked the part even before the skill was unlocked.

My wife thought she was being creative and went with Neck Romancer.

Then she found out someone beat her to it lol.
