Watch out for click bait tonight

This will probably get closed but GoT fans watch for the click bait tonight being the final episode. Thought throw out a warning because of last week.

Same. The global mega-fascination is incomprehensible to me. I read 5 or 6 books almost twenty years ago and came away with "fair to middlin' ".

Then again, I don't understand the mega-fascination with a number of television shows.

You should. It's really good. And not like "it's popular so it's good". I mean it's actually good.

Gotta start from the beginning though. You'll be completely lost and confused if you start in the middle somewhere.

Why only Game of Thrones spoilers? There are lots of shows that could be spoiled.

I don't want anyone spoiling 8 out of 10 Cats for me.

I actually saw someone get upset about people revealing spoilers in a theater playing Titanic once way back when that movie released.

The spoiler in question was "The ship sinks."

    OMG nice spoiler.

I bet you're going to spoil Downfall for me, too.

LoL good one. Not even surprised :-)
Saw some girl on TV the other day (some reality show candidate) saying that the year zero, that is, 2019 years ago, was the year of the dissapearance of the dinosaurs and the appearance of humans on Earth.
So no big surprise that people don't know about the historical fate of some ship 100 years ago :-)

Back to GoT, yes, the warning is valid, but not only for here. I guess by now every fan knows that he has to disconnect from all kind of internet - and possibly also any human interaction of any kind - until he's watched the episode...

There is literally nothing GOOD about GoT. Every evil thing that can happen, does happen. Danny T is the archtype of satan. Last episode, she just showed her true colors.. they came shining through. It has played out exactly as i thought it would based on my understanding. There's more i could say but this forum will just sensor it out.

If you want to watch an actual GOOD show, try The Vet Life, Dr Dee (alaskan vet?), Dr Jeff - Rocky Mountain Vet... and the like. They actually help people in the real world, and their animals most of all. It's the only thing that looks GOOD on TV as far as i can tell.

I hate reality tv. Unfortunately it is cheap to produce so will be going nowhere any time soon. My brother watches a few so I've seen some episodes. When a person says oh I hope I don't see a snake you know after the commercial they are going to freak out about seeing a snake. Highly scripted, super repetitive and boring.

That said, I'm glad you enjoy them. If we all had the same tastes would be a boring world.

It's definitely in the "it's popular so it's good camp".

The show has been awful ever since they ran out of book material. The plot makes no sense anymore (the shows main story line of 7.5 seasons was a red herring, lol). Characters do things with no previous character development to support their actions. Dialogue has devolved into melodramatic one-liners. It's been a disaster for a while now.

Try listening to the audiobooks, first.

The show highlights a lot of the good stuff, but leaves a lot of the 'how/why' details on the floor under he table.

The story is much richer, and the characters much more vibrant when watching if you know all the stuff in the books, first.

I admit that last couple of seasons have not quite been up to par with what the first several seasons were like, but it's still pretty good IMO.

I attribute that to the fact that the show is about 2 books ahead of the actual written/published book storyline.

He takes years to hone a book, which they basically cover in 10 hours.

They ran ahead of his material, and can't produce the same quality in far less time.

To make it pertain to the forum, the show gives players a much deeper feel for the nuanced enviornment in this game.

Well, except for riding glowing bears, and rezzing, and throwing fireballs.....

But a lot of the scenery is similar.
    o:)
