Can we go where the dwemer went.

Where everything is a dwemer construct. No flesh just metal, and not like those clockwork people from clockwork city. Clockwork people still have flesh on them right? Just like sotha sil, flesh and metal fusion.

i personally love to see ZoS make a free update with new zone on Tamriel + continuation of the base game story

and those said new zone need to be located on all 3 alliances, for example winterhold for EP and other for DC and AD

i think its time for ZoS to do it, a bit of fan service but also to bring the queen and kings back

I hear a lot about Winterhold, and I think it wouldn´t make a good chapter/dlc. Sure, the school would be cool and that, but I think it´s too small to be a zone. I´d rather have a whole Skyrim (or at least a two parts Skyrim, like Eslweyr) wich included a Winterhold college questline, dailies, skill line and all of that, like Artaeum. But not a whole quarter release (chapter/dlc) about such a tiny portion of Skyrim.

I'd actually love a DLC the size of CWC or Murkmire dedicated to the College of Winterhold, the city and the surrounding Mountains. Even if it were a combination of Winterhold and the Pale. They could employ a storyline focusing on vampiric forces surging from Dawnstar over to Winterhold. As a Collage recruit, you could ally yourself with the Stendarr priests from the Hall of the Vigilant, or even choose to side with the vampires?

I do agree that the main chapter should not be located in Skyrim.

    Wild speculation, right?

Not Hammerfell because ZOS southern Hammerfell will be dependent on what BGS want to put into southern Hammerfell for TES VI, and I doubt that's done yet.

Not Skyrim because it's not 2021 yet, plus a large part of the audience are sick to death of playing Skyrim already.

I'd go for Morrowind's east coast for the chapter. Dark Elves are really good at messing with stuff that puts the whole of reality in danger. Q4 could then go looking for Blacklight, which seems to have fallen into some kind of Aurbic rift. Involving some daedric Princes in the action gives Maephala and Clavicus Vile a chance to call in the favours we owe them. And we might get a chance to make Naryu dead, dead, dead :)

I don't think we'll be seeing Meridia, Nocturnal or daddy Bal anytime soon. They lost too badly in previous storylines.

Just as the Discussion Title says. Judging by what we know of about the 'Season of the Dragon' so far, my own personal guess right now is that next years chapter will be a full pocket of Oblivion zone much like Coldharbour.

I'd love to discuss this more when I see other thoughts and additions.

Just as the discussion title says: way too early.

That said, it needs to be as good as Orsinium. Wrothgar is the only zone where you see other players having any fun.

Not sure what you mean? How so?

I go to Wrothgar because it's a great zone to get mats. Whilst I am there, I always get sucked into joining a world boss fight. these are more difficult than regular zones and involve many other players. Joining the daily writs makes it a bit more satisfying.

I see a level of activity and enjoyment in Wrothgar that I don't see in other zones; DLC or chapter.
Wrothgar is far and away the best PvE zone and all new content should be of this quality. IMO...

This could make southern Cyrodiil a great Chapter location. Leyawiin as the major city, with Blackwood and the Nibenay Valley to explore. The Q4 DLC for that year could have the portal to the Shivering Isles appear on the Niben, right at the northern-most point of this Chapter's map. With a Mage's Guild port and/or direct Wayshrine port within the Isles for those who buy the Q4 DLC but don't own the Cyrodiil Chapter.

I know Skyrim is highly requested, but I don't see Zenimax/Bethesda passing up the 10 year anniversary of TESV Skyrim in 2021 as a marketing opportunity. It seems highly likely they're already building the zone though, given Riverwood showed up as a Crown Store pet background not too long ago. It was a nice tease:

Depends on financials I think, a Skyrim xpac is pretty much guaranteed cash injection due to existing fanbase. If they are still making good money / have a strong player base after Elsweyr drops, probably see some other random thing as at this point it almost seems like they took a “how little effort can we get away with but people will still buy it” approach.

MW got a new class and pvp style
SS got two new skill lines

EW gets a new class and smaller area than previous two. It just feels small in comparison, so a large xpac would be welcome next time around.
The perfect time to use the Skyrim card is after TES 6 to get players back, however its 3 Skyrim zones.

Don't see much need for it myself, we have two Skyrim zones,
Western would be most interesting with Malcart and the reachmen.

I was actually thinking have Eyevea revamped into a mini zone like Artaeum. Have it so the player must have completed the Mage Guild base story to start this chapter.

Part of the DLC is a method of, if you have collected a string of mage guild books, to craft a bookshelf with the books on it, but it is diminished, all books = Level 5 Mage Guild. Main can craft this bookshelf, an Alt can easily read bookshelf to get all lore books and enough Mage Guild levels to do the base game Mage Guild quests easily and jump straight into Part 2. To get the remaining 5 Mage Guild XP you have to complete Part 2 of the Mage Guild.

Having Psijic + Mage Guild book collection is a level of tedium that is unheard of would be nice to make one of them less of a chore.

Anyway, it starts in the revamped Eyevea and Shalidor ends up sending you to Winterhold to get help in getting Valaste back.

So with Summerset / Artaeum mixture, we end up with an Eyevea / North West Skyrim mixture. I don't think the portal to Shivery Isle is fixed to appear in Cyrodil. Portals to Daedric realms can appear anywhere.

Crafted sets - Revamp Shalidors Curse (weak tanking set) instead of just light attacks heal under 50%, gain res / hp regen too, and revamp Eyes of Mara (decent healing set) to be a little better, move Mara to the overworld of North West of Skyrim. That just leaves 1 more set, Nord themed. I'd like to see a stam version of the all Mag crafted set in Elswyer, called Shor's Bones :).

I’m leaning towards something like Southern Cyrodiil, apart of Hammerfell, Westerm Skyrim, or even Akivir. Akivir is a decent possibility, considering the dragons (originally from there), various recent Tsaesci mentions, and whatnot. But who knows.

    I would like either:

    Mephala’s Realm
-In 2014 this was shown. As a dlc area, the only thing that was preview along with spell crafting that has not come into the game yet. Loads of potential here, and to really get to know this realm, daedric Prince/battle her. Like we did with mr grumpy face Molag-bal.

    Central Skyrim
Things have been datamined and some of the NPC’s in summerset mention parts of Skyrim that are not in the game yet. Npc dialog is sometimes a big give away. Would be Winterhold area and the reach, Skyrim is huge so I doubt the rest of it would fit into a big chapter. Happy to eat my words. :)

Technically Craglorn and Wrothgar were chapter sized DC expansions (just before they decided on the chapter model).

If they are doing them based on races (and available space)... Nord or Breton haven't really received anything, I don't know where they go with Breton, But nord has vast areas to expand to.

We had 2 AD zones in a row. It would be weird if we got 3rd. My bet is DC zone (perhaps some part of Hammerfell), or EP zone (perhaps some part of Skyrim).

We now have 1 DC, 1 EP, and 2 AD Chapters (Wrothgar was a chapter sized DLC before Chapters were a thing). Whilst Skyrim is EP, it will border both EP and DC zones. If a DLC / Chapter were to come out around Winterhold it will probably have Solitude too and bridge the gap from East March to Wrothgar. The end of year DLC will probably be Skyrim South West and have Falkreath.

I hope it takes us to the Shivering Isles and is called, 'The Season of Cheese'.

I don't really care what the zone is, but I'm curious about what the new mechanical thing is (Mwind: Warden and Bgs. Summerset: Jewelrycrafting and Psijic line. Elsweyr: Necromancer).

I've thought we'd get 1hand and Rune for the past two chapters as the big mechanical addition, but here's hoping it's coming in 2020...

Here are some of my ideas and speculations for what I would love to see in ESO:

Zone DLC 2019 = The Elder Scrolls Online: Winterhold
This DLC would include the location of The Pale, the ancient city of Winterhold in its full glory, and possibly Spell Crafting if ZOS wished to revive the idea. As one of the smaller Zone DLCs, it would allow them to really do the city justice, and and it would be fascinating to fully explore a location that we couldn’t in Skyrim. Also, the Dragons form such a big part of Nordic lore, so it only seems right to return to somewhere in Skyrim during the “Season of the Dragon”.

Chapter DLC 2020 = The Elder Scrolls Online: Hammerfell
I personally would love for this to be located in the sparsely populated interior and the story to be focussed on the Dwarves. Although I wouldn’t want the story to be about their disappearance, instead exploring more of their secrets, ancient ruins and culture. I speculate this will be the next Chapter because it is one of the least explored provinces in the game so far. It would also be interesting to visit another DC area after several EP and AD releases. Furthermore, I’d love to have a “Sword-Singing” Skill Line, based on the Sword-Singers who wield martial/arcane abilities with a sword, similar to Dragon Shouts in Skyrim.

Zone DLC 2020 = The Elder Scrolls Online: Falinesti
Falinesti, also known as the “Walking City”, is a city from Valenwood that disappeared before the events of ESO. The return of the city may already be set up in ESO by our character who visits the four sites of the city and helps the Falinesti Faithful prepare for its return, so it’s the perfect option for another smaller Zone DLC. It would also be the perfect opportunity to explore Bosmer culture once again since pretty much all of Valenwood is already explorable.

Chapter DLC 2021 = The Elder Scrolls Online: Skyrim
This chapter would take place in Western Skyrim, also known as the Reach. It would make sense as it would be the 10th Anniversary of Skyrim. During the events of ESO it is an independent kingdom with several tribes vying for power in the region. In the story it would be interesting to explore the politics of its division from Eastern Skyrim and the shaman ways of the Reachmen, which may be a cool idea for a new Class. I would also like to see more interference from the Deadric Prince Meridia, who has been teased as a future villain at the conclusion of the Planemeld and Deadric War storylines, and we know from Skyrim that she has a large temple in Haafingar.

With Morrowind they aimed to target peoples nostalgia with the familiar.

Summerset and Elsweyr seem to be targeting hype to see new, unexplored territory in the Elder Scrolls universe.

Next year could be another Nostalgia trip, either another chunk of Skyrim or unused areas of Cyrodiil. We've seen most of Valenwood and High Rock. So if they go for another new, unexplored area we haven't seen in an ES game since Arena, I predict Hammerfell, or another region of Orsinium or Black Marsh.

Alternatively, something far more exciting and exotic would be another Daedric realm, or a place not set in Tamriel. The former would be more likely than the latter, but either one would be interesting.

I'd love all of this, tbh. I think Skyrim for 19Q4 is probable and Hammerfell and more Skyrim in 20. Hammerfell is, currently, one of the least expanded regions of the map. But I'd love to see Falinesti. It's the only possible Bosmer zone left, the Imga are apparently there and they'd be able to make new assets for a zone that hasn't had anything new since launch.
