Other than to waste inventory space? Things like "The Silver-Tonuged Quill", "The Unraveling Staff", "Thithil Tablet", "Construct (part)" ....

✭✭✭✭✭Many of the DLCs and Chapters have quests that require you to find lost lore items. The quests are not typical quests with arrows on screen to guide you to quest objectives. They just give you written clues. If you are into trying to decipher clues and do a lot of exploring, they can be fun. If you destroy the items to free up inventory space, I think the items go back to their original locations, so they will still be there if you eventually pick up related quest.2 -
Veesk✭✭✭✭A lot of DLCs have museum achievements, or something similar, for collecting and turning in all the pieces. They usually unlock collectables of various types.1

Yes it is. The Orsinium DLC
