Other than to waste inventory space? Things like "The Silver-Tonuged Quill", "The Unraveling Staff", "Thithil Tablet", "Construct (part)" ....

Thanks.

Many of the DLCs and Chapters have quests that require you to find lost lore items. The quests are not typical quests with arrows on screen to guide you to quest objectives. They just give you written clues. If you are into trying to decipher clues and do a lot of exploring, they can be fun. If you destroy the items to free up inventory space, I think the items go back to their original locations, so they will still be there if you eventually pick up related quest.

A lot of DLCs have museum achievements, or something similar, for collecting and turning in all the pieces. They usually unlock collectables of various types.

Ok, I don't have any DLCs - is there any kind of list for the items & if they are associated with any particular DLC, or just google it?

UESP ... probably has most of what you want...

They are attached to quests and getting some neat things like the three bear costumes from the achievement 'Hero of Wrothgar'

This is for the wrothgar one

Cavalier of the Sworn Oath costume -
Old Orsinium Sentry costume - and
    Trinimac's Penitent Knight costume.

They were really popular for wardens when they first came out. :)

You can find tons of guides and maps to make it a lot easier, just make sure you have enough space before starting.

    This is an example

That last one is for a DLC.

Yes it is. The Orsinium DLC :)

There are quite a bit of hidden gems there. I found it to be one of the better dlcs.

There are in game lists via your achievments panel, but with so much to search through, google is your friend!

I just went through Traitor's Vault again, and had no mission for it. Who do you talk to to get it?

"Construct (part)" If you collect all these parts and have Clockwork City you get a Construct practice dummy for your house to test your combat damage against. Worth the effort.
