They won't be banned, but if they are, ZOS will just start selling the crown crate contents as individually purchasable items.

Which is what most of us wanted them to do all along. Here's hoping.
As to the OP, one would HOPE, shoudl that come to pass, that they would be converted to a reasonable amount of actual crowns. But I wouldn't count on it.

Except everything will cost 2 or 3 times what you think it should to make up for the shortfall from being able to get EXACTLY what you want without have to pray to RNGesus first.

LOL the game was doing fine before Crown Crates and it will continue to be fine after Crown Crates. This game never needed the crates.

They won't get rid of them, they will just make them compliant with the new laws.
It's the same way with casinos. They haven't outlawed them, but there are regulations.
Crates, casinos, and other things of the same ilk are all money makers-- not just for the parent company. If they make money, the government also makes money. Why would the government say no to millions (and billions in the case of casinos) of extra dollars.
If laws do get passed, it will be to protect minors, and probably to add transparency on odds.

The shareholders do.
They would probably have an in-game message saying "crown crates will be going away on this specific date, so you better spend all your gems or else they're gone!" I'd love to see gamble crates go away, but them going away will be a long shot.
If they did get removed though I would imagine ZOS would either convert gems to crowns or just leave them and add some options to buy spend them on things to clear them out.
The game was fine before the crown crates a lot of us pay eso plus. I pay eso plus just to support eso I love what they are doing many will pay eso plus either to support game or for crafting bag then there’s lots of stuff in the crown store so eso is 100% fine 🙂Grandesdar wrote: »Hope they won't be. Do you really think ZoS is gonna completly remove crown crate because ONE country want to ban them ?
My god some people are really *** stupid

This is ironic. There are plenty of other countries that are changing their loot crate laws.

^ is from last year, there are probably other countries that have joined in with the fun but this was found through a simple google search
