Falling through the world broke main quest & CS does nothing?

The quest, castle of the worm is bugged for me & I can not get it to continue. I submited a ticket over a week ago & have still not received any word.

After returning from coldharbor & talking with Abnor, I fell through the world. To get back into the world I tried /stuck (which didn't work), reloging (which didn't work) & finally wayshrining away (which did). When I returned, my quest said to "obverse the scene", but nothing happens & talking to the NPCs does nothing. Reloging does not help the quest to update, and I can't abandon the quest because it is a main quest.

Does anyone actually read the in game requests for help, or bug reports? As I said, I reported this over a week ago. I have not received either an ingame mail, or an email. I get email from CS for every gold spammer I report, but from this (an actual issue with the game that is preventing me from progressing), there is nothing?

I believe /bug just sends a report. To actually receive help with getting credit or a quest reset, you will need to file a ticket with customer service.

I filed a ticket...that is literally the second sentence of my post. "I submitted a ticket over a week ago & have still not received any word."

and hey, posting here maybe got their attention. I just got an email from CS.

Of course their "response" is that they can't fix the problem, but they are "working on it". And their "solution" is for me to ignore the quest.

idk, maybe it's just me...but I've been playing mmos since UO, and I've never come across a game where a GM can't just push a few buttons and move a quest forward a step.

Correct, /bug goes to developers - they are not customer service people, and they will seldom contact you.

You need to go to help.elderscrollsonline.com to report an email ticket.

Note that this quest is bugged for other players anyway (it doesn't work right), so you may struggle to get it fixed at this time. They're working on it.

I dont know of ANY games where a GM can just push a button and advance a quest. Certainly they couldnt with ultima online. Ive played LOTRO also the GMs there cannot just hit a button to advance a quest either. Sometimes just have to be patient. Maybe do something else for a bit.

Sorry, totally misread your post in my rush to get the grill going for dinner!

I say post your ticket number in your OP and hope for the best.

They could do it in UO (they couldn't move forward the quest, but they could reset it, which would be a solution). They could do it in SWG. They could do it in WoW. They could do it in SWToR. They could do it in Champions Online & Star Trek Online. They could do it in CoH/CoV. Of course in all of those game, when you put in a ticket, the GM would eventually contact you in game (usually in a /tell)

And I was patient. I was patient for over a week (the quest bugged last Thursday)...I received no response at all, no email, not /tell, nothing. Until today, right after I made this thread.

Sorry first off in UO there were no quests to reset. Second I have played swtor from launch and can tell you that you are 100% wrong. I had major quest bugs (the reason I quit playing until they went f2p) which the GM told me were being worked on. He couldnt just hit a button and reset anything or fix it. I also play star trek online same thing. I have had a lifetime sub to it since day 1. They do not just hit a button and fix stuff.

The GM staff in UO was famous for the "I cannot help thee" line.

Fallen thru the world. is not just confined to quest. I fall thru steps, bridges, and floors. Not once or twice in a gaming session, but 5 or 6 times. Once fell thru the ground into a blue screen. I logged out, waited 15 minutes as suggested, logged back in to simply find myself still falling then hitting ground and dying. Each time I am required to /stuck to get free or move to nearest wayshrine. Both cost gold. This is not my first report of this problem. One would think with all the hot patches this issue might have been addressed.

Speaking of GOLD and Gold spammers. We are limited to only 60 bank slots, to get 10 more slots cost 1000 gold.. next 10 cost 3000+ gold. Seriously, this is just crazy. We are required to keep items to raise provisioning, blacksmithing clothing, alchemy, plus gear? Easy solution make holder toons? Problem, easy access to needed provisions.
Gold farmers.. I can "IGNORE" in chat, but when I get 8 to 15 game mails wanting me to buy gold. I report said problem, but get no response either way.
I get tells/whispers and people wanting to group up just to tell me I should buy gold from them.

I have such "HIGH HOPES" for this game. If there are not some MAJOR improvements in the next big patch, it will be but yet another game that failed to provide.

The GM staff in UO was famous for the "I cannot help thee" line.

In UO there were events and there were quests/jobs/tasks whatever you want to call them, involved in some of the events...and GMs could sometimes help with them. And more importantly, if you put in a ticket, it didn't take a week before a GM contacted you.

SWToR GMs could help...Were there quests that were so bugged that GMs couldn't fix them? Yes of course, i.e. the dark side Bounty hunter last quest was broken for months after launch and couldn't be finished. But the GMs could sometimes help, and again, it didn't take a full week of waiting to get contacted by a GM after submitting your ticket.

Are there even GMs in ESO? To submit a ticket, you go to their website, so is there even in game help? There used to be a way to get in game help in beta, but it was removed (and it was stupid, you could put in a ticket, but if you closed the help window it closed your ticket as well.)

And really, I'm more annoyed that it took a full week of waiting & posting a thread in the customer service thread complaining about the wait before they even contacted me about the ticket. The quest being bugged, it's annoying sure...but the complete and total lack of communication on the part of ZoS CS staff is much more annoying.
