Splitting the offense/defense morphs of Resto Ult is fine — but here's a more sensible way to do it.

No way, permafrost is a class defining ability. Nerfing things like permafrost, cloak, negate, and ritual just makes all the classes bland.
Major protection on the resto ult needs to go back on too. The ultimate is too weak without it. I never use it, but balancewise every magicka class needs a strong healing ultimate.
It’s similar to dawnbreaker for stamina, the classes without good damage ultimates use it instead. Without the resto ult being strong the disparity between healing ultimates will become an issue.Edited by Iskiab on May 14, 2019 3:29PMLooking for any guildies I used to play with:

This is exactly what I've been telling everyone who's celebrating the resto nerf as a hit to sorcs.
Petsorcs don't even care about this change. What they are doing—and will continue to do—is turtle on their backbar with S&B and the Psijic ult, while building up their next atro.
This won't nerf Sorcs the way you think it will. It will just push the few remaining non-pet sorcs towards the full pet-tard builds that cause you far more grief. Good luck trying to target anything next patch.PC/NA — Daggerfall Covenant — BGs, Kaalgrontiid

Nevasca✭✭✭✭✭Only way to Light's Champion maintain it's Major Protection is to increase the cost by a lot. Around 200 ultimate at least imo. Major Protection shouldn't be at 125 ult with no conditions (usually you sacrifice mobility for it, like Templar/NB ults)0 -

Why? There are lots of sources of major protection. The resto ult already isn’t that strong because it heals a single person per pulse during the duration.
I think just switch the force for protection. Major force is good, but without protection using it is a death wish so it won’t get used.

Just have the healing scale better for the defensive morph.

Pirate skele should be nerfed to 6 uptime 8 down
Meditate shouldn’t get major protection
Sleet shouldn’t have major pro
Gain major protection through self defensive ults if anything.

TumlinTheJolly✭✭✭✭I've been playing around with Life Giver in preparation for this change. For some reason, this morph feels clunky... as though it's often stuttering/lagging while trying to fire off 4 abilities at once. Just give this morph Major Prot instead. Problem solved.0 -
