...Why are Dragon's Dogma and Two Worlds on this poll but not other Elder Scrolls games? Like ESO. Or the earlier ones. :/

Now I feel voting on Dragon's Dogma since I really like that game.

    Agree...^^
Dragons Dogma & Two Worlds are not even TES games, and you left off the other 7 TES games in your list???

    Oblivion
The last three single player games were all epic, hard to choose. I chose Oblivion cuz that's the first one I ever binged on and your first is always the most magical. Skyrim wins for time played and raw jaw drop appeal for sure. That game was amazing.

    And ESO, ah ESO.

Certainly my favorite mmo but it's a little tricky to get the TES experience sometimes. The immersion breaking qualities are just tough to swallow.

(NOT the immersion breaking inherrent in an MMO like zone chat or everyone's a hero. I'm talking about small to large design decisions like the quest log just being a flat to do list in a UI rather than a journal that could be flipped through and reviewed for plot points, and quest lines that allow no interaction/decision making besides an occassional token choice that affects nothing. That last one really grinds my gears to this day because that was a big selling point at launch- that you would really interact with & affect the world. They did a great job with many things but totally punted on that one.)

    Morrowind
What is it about Morrowind that makes me feel like I'm in a real world?

I load the game and the prehistoric graphics shock me, but magically that feeling goes away in seconds because the immersion overrides it.

I think it just feels like a world that is not there for you. You go wherever you go but the journey is the point of the game.

Sure, has the best TES story and lore too. And I love guars.

Many new games have amazing graphics, awesome combat. But what I have installed always? Skyrim, Witcher 3, Fallout 4? Nope. Morrowind.

    Oblivion
You will get in trouble for not including the others.

I know everyone says it's rubbish, but I loved oblivion.

Who says that ? Oblivion was the best game imo and I know some prefer skyrim and morrowind but I haven't heard anyone call oblivion rubbish. In my opinion oblivion was better than skyrim in every way apart from graphics and combat but that's to be expected since skyrim is a much newer game, I actually think it's quite sad that skyrim is lacking compared to oblivion in so many ways when it should be as good or just better, being the newer game.

Skyrim. Up until recently, ESO would have been up there as well. But the recent updates that ignore the lore of the ES series has made my appreciation of ESO plummet.

    Oblivion
It's difficult to choose, because it seems like every Elder Scrolls game I play ends up becoming my new favorite (with certain exceptions, such as Legends and Blades).

I had to vote for Oblivion because it was my first Elder Scrolls game, so not only was it my "first love," but it introduced me to the rest of the series. I love its colorful graphics, as well as certain gameplay mechanics, such as Speechcraft and Security.

I'm also very fond of Morrowind, but the graphics looked so garish after having played Oblivion, and I disliked the completely random nature of conversation and lockpicking, which had no element of skill to them like Oblivion did. But Morrowind was a very immersive game, with a lot of places to explore and things to do.

And I'm also very fond of Skyrim, but the graphics seem drab and colorless next to Oblivion. But the game itself is awesome.

Oblivion, I played that for so long, each day, and I never got sick of it.

Then when Skyrim came along, oh boy, that took ES to another level, and I'm still playing that.

Yes, I play Skyrim still too. When ESO isn't available, or when I've just played too much of it - like the 16 hour day I had not long ago.... the next day I only played ESO for about an hour, and spent the rest of the day in Skyrim.

Speaking of Morrowind vs. Skyrim, wasn't the modding community working on rebuilding Morrowind with the Skyrim engine? Whatever happened to that?

    Oblivion
Missed the early games. Morrowind actually would be my favorite if it had aged a bit better.

Oblivion has lots of negatives but Dark Brotherhood, Shivering Isles, Daedric quests and whatever random awesomeness makes it.

While there is plenty of greatness, Skyrim has some symptoms of AAA-itis. And because I decided to get rid of Steam I can't play that or any of my rather big library of steam games anyway. (I loved Steam before it went from convenience to bloated pile of manure.) I'll never again buy a single player game with any drm / online to play.

Oblivion because it made me laugh lots. Not sure if that was intended, but it happened.

Skyrim...ugh, hated that game and it was probably one of the worst games I have ever played at launch. That and it was far too overhyped and had a generic story. Yeah, hate that game and still cringe when I see it on my Steam list.

It reminds me a lot of my sister, who I love dearly. It was the only game she played during her extensive downtime when deployed in Iraq and I was always so fascinated seeing how far her character got whenever she came home on leave.

From the options it's Morrowind by a country mile. I've lost a % of my life playing that :) I never even finished Oblivion, and Skyrim felt like it was incredibly dumbed down and visual-centric for popularity/sales I played it through once and it's never been re-installed.

I still play Morrowind, Oblivion & Skyrim. As well as ESO of course.

Morrowind was my introduction to the series and the TES Construction set was truly revolutionary in gaming at the time. A friend of mine spent more time making stuff than actually playing the game. The feel of the game and the truly open world, the story lines made it extremely immersive.

Oblivion was short and sweet. Although I played through it several times it is the easiest and quickest to complete. Nice graphics and story line. The Arena was a bit of a joke - so easy. I always completed this first for the Armour and money. Thieves Guild was the best, took some thought and had a good story. I liked being the Grey Fox :)

Skyrim well I have played through this a lot more than once. It is by far the one that I have played the most. There are some nice Mods out there for it too like Forgotten City & and Bruma for quests .

Silly to have excluded the original two games, Arena and Daggerfall, not least when you've included a couple of games that weren't even TES games anyway. Those first two were actually my favourites as they were ground-breaking for their time. Skyrim was a great improvement on what had gone before graphically, but ultimately became rather boring once you'd raised your skills beyond a certain level, and the games inbetween were all ok but nothing special as I recall - I got bored with them long before finishing the main story as was the case with Skyrim, probably because there was so much to do in the games that I tended to leave the main story for later and then never got round to it. ESO is the only one that I have bought two copies of and played without interruption for 5 years so I guess that speaks volumes for its overall quality compared to the others.

Perhaps you should do a bit more research and then have a third attempt at creating a half-competent poll  ?

But i can do as i please, half assed or not, if YOU do not like it, you can chose not to vote and move on with your life. Simple eh?

Have you heard of the High Elves? Arena, Daggerfall; Battlespire; Redguard; TES: Legends; TES: Blades; The Elder Scrolls Online?

The first two games are so outdated, and the rest are just spin offs, cash grabs or an mmorpg that is, lets be honest, in much need of a course correction. i only included the later 3 games and a couple games that have the "Elder Scrolls" feel/look, just to add in some outside perspective. if you do not like this poll, make your own and move on ;)
