If you could add a new weapon, what would it be?

Pretty self explanatory. if you could add any kind of weapon, what would you choose?
I'd personally choose barehand/knuckles for some kind of monk like gameplay. and also some kind of bo staff. ala daredevil from gw2 or nick bateman XD I'm a sucker for fast and agile characters. I imagine both being very fast and acrobatic.
I'd love to hear your ideas!

    I would like a spanking paddle or a belt for when bosses and enemies are in execute mode. I would like the paddle/belt to have over the top cracking/spanking noises.

    ALL of the above. ;)

    Especially crossbows as alternate archer choice, and spell foci as alternate caster choice, because it -really- vexes me that those get forced into one weapon setup!

    Tho if we talk skill lines... I would want to see one-handed and magic more then others. (though twin magic kinda would be a package deal with that one, since once you add -one- offhand magic weapon, there is no reason not to let people dual-wirld it for two-fisted casting!)

    A) 1h+spell for a melee magicka option
    B.) Crossbow for a ranged stamina and magicka option (morphs for each)
    C) spears / staffblades / polearms for a 2h crit option (like daggers)

    There already are 4 Stam and only 2 Mag weapons in the game.
    Therefore, I would add a 3rd Mag weapon.

    The new Mag weapon should be something special.
    I could think of a magic instrument like a Magic Harp.

    The Magic Harp could be able to heal/protect the group and captivate enemies. Examples:
    Skill 1: Circle around the player gains a healing boost
    Skill 2: Circle around the player gains a HOT
    Skill 3: Circle around the player gains a damage shield
    Skill 4: Enemies around the player will evade (magic dissonance, a FEAR spell)
    Skill 5: Enemies around the player cannot evade (magic harmony, disabling dodge/cloak/invis/mist/shield/streak/...)
    Ultimate: Enemies around the player get their damage reflected to themselves for x secs (magic wall)

    Light Attack could be a 'Blue Note' (Damage)
    Heavy Attack could be a 'Heavy Note' (Healing, as with Resto Staff)
    This way, the MagicHarp could replace the HealingStaff for a MagDD.
    Such a MagicHarp even could be interesting as a seconday weapon for StamPlayers.

    1H+Rune for hybrids, Rune+Rune for melee magicka.

    1H+Rune could have some pretty cool passives too:
    -The Damage/Healing portions of your skills scale with either spell damage or weapon damage, whichever is higher.
    -The Damage/Healing portions of your skills scale with either spell crit or weapon crit, whichever is higher.
    -The Damage portions of your skills scale with either spell penetration or weapon penetration, whichever is higher.
    -The Damage/Healing portions of your skills scale by averaging your maximum stamina and maximum magicka.
    Add a Scribing skill that works like Arcanist beam.

    Veteran players have been alienated and disengaged from Overland since One Tamriel, due to the lack of difficulty, and pushed into dungeons and trials; the minority of content in the Elder Scrolls Online. We can't take the repetition anymore, fix Overland engagement for Vet players. I don't even care if it's not combat related anymore, just make Overland engaging again.

    Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 10 years. 6 paid expansions. 25 DLCs. 41 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. Make a self debuff mythic. Literally anything at this point.

    ...but since the class skills are -mostly- magica, that is as it should be.

    Personally tho I always saw it as "2 warrior weapons, 2 rogue weapons, 2 mage weapons" tho.
    Still think there ought to be more, way more. But... see above for my thoughts on that.

    Casters desperately need something, all they have are staffs. I'd like to see Wands, Books, and Orbs added to give them something other than a stick on their backs.

    Some could be 1H and some could be 2H which would leave the caster firing off spells similar to how some of Necro's spells are, either straight from the bare hand or fired from the object with a motion similar to the "crossbolt" visual that NBs empowerment of Assassins Will and Fighters Guild's Silver Bolts uses.

    So, magicka can only have staves for ranged and not a weapon with possible veritable collection of bolts that can deal fire, frost, oblivion, shock damage, with a possible raid fire instead of snipe. Great. Sounds awesomely terrific. And the only good, or logical addition for magicka is wands, sword/one hand and rune/melee.

    Meh. A magicka theme highwayman sounds more interesting versus the cliche wizard/caster with some random Pokey and a rune in hand, which i do like. Just. Limited appeal.But thats me.

    You DO realize you are describing a stamina weapon here?

    Basically, if it uses tension and kinetic energy to do its damage, firing a -physical- "bolt" that may or may not also carry elemental enchantments... then its a stamina weapon. Like a crossbow.

    If on the other hand it uses mystic energy to fire -energy- "bolts" of fire, shock, ice (or any of the other things I keep suggesting they add... coldfire, acid, arcane energy), then it would be a nifty magica weapon... but NOT a crossbow, more like a wand or runestone.
    Which totally would be fine to add to ESO!

    Nah, that's just the -first- to come to mind, because we have already seen in in the cionematic trailers... and many woulöd like to recapture the "spellsword" feeling of melee to mid-range magica combat.

    But as I always say, as soon as you add an offhand wand/rune, it only makes sense to let people dual wield them like a magical gunslinger, and then...
