i would if i could. definitely want to learn storm call, i would love to have a maelstrom spiraling over my home all the time.

all joking aside, this really should be a feature. Even with Essential Housing Tools, the skybox effects and weather effects don't do anything for lighting, especially outside. the game still behaves as if it is sunny and bright, even when its supposed to be 'night time'

That would be cool, especially as the night is so much shorter than the day in eso for some weird reason.

If you are on PC give Essential Housing Tools add-on a try. Amazing what that will do for your homes.

i've been trying it out, but i really feel like im missing a basic tutorial

If you go to the housing forums the player that provides the add-on is pretty quick with answering questions and responding to suggestions.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

exactly. i almost never get to experience the game after dark, and being able to see that for my home would be wonderful.

I don't want the weather inside the home instance to be different from that outside, but I would like to be able to do the decoration for a specific time of day. I.e. I want to be able to test the lighting by making it night-time. It only needs to change when I enter editing mode, and can revert after, but testing lights in broad daylight is a pain.

On the flip side, planting things outdoors at night is equally annoying. Just let us set the conditions while we edit.

I really want snowfall for Autumn's Rest in Riften.

i havent checked out autumn's rest yet, but having a snowfall at night in riften with the glow of lamps the only source of light, it would be magical.

I made it snow with EHT! It’s super easy, looks great! Pairs well with the aurora borealis sky and the dagger fall music box. I tried to double up the snow though to make it real thick and it kinda stutters for me. I grew up in the country in vermont so snowfall illuminated at night by a single, warm tungsten porch light has a lot of nostalgia for me. I like to recreate that look.

It would be amazing to control the weather and day cycle in our homes. I think it would give a lot of personality to them.

it absolutely would. I *really* want to create the ultimate dream house for my necromancer, but thus far there is no moderately affordable one with a dark enough ambiance
