Free game time for people blocked from progression?

Zenimax.

How do you plan on responding to the thousands of people currently blocked from progress on both the EU and NA megaservers, due to main quest/ game breaking bugs? Such as those listed here; http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/73729/in-progress-known-issues/p1

We have all signed up for a subscription, this subscription is for a service. A service which is not being delivered to thousands of people who cannot progress. Some of these bugs have reportedly being going on for 7 days now. We all appreciate that a new MMO has teething issues, and we can accept the requirements for unscheduled maintenance and a few quests we may need to skip and come back to later. But the bugs blocking access to higher content, the main story quests, bugs continuing for days on end. This is unacceptable. We understand you are "looking into the issues", but do you understand you are failing in your service delivery?

Will Zenimax offer free/ extended (from the original 30 days) game time to these players?

"This one thinks you should, yes?"

(Feel free to sign if you agree.)

Why would they extend a free 30 days? You know a game isn't perfect. When you're paying a sub fee months from now, there may indeed be game breaking bugs, and they will have to do maintenance, and people will complain about the maintenance asking for free time.

Make an alt or something. Seriously there are other things to do than sit there and wait for a quest to be fixed.

To me it seems like a reasonable request. I am not affected by any "game progressing" issues yet, but I feel bad for some of my friends, that are. This people are not recieving service they have paid for.

Well normal game breaking bugs are fixed in a day or 2 however this one people have been stuck for a week now. A couple of days? sure ill wait but a WHOLE week of not being able to access 2/3 of the game is a bit ridiculous.
  • suehlfleisch.jb16_ESO
fix it and give us a compensation for beeing unabel to access the veteran content... and for the pvp home bug aswell!

Why do people insist on criticizing people asking for good customer service? Do you think that your name is going to be written in the company's book of "friends" for special treatment? This sheep like behavior is disgusting.

The OP have a very legitimate concern. The game is about progression and when there are bugs that halt that progression then you have a broken product and should expect compensation.

Stop being sheep. If a company releases a game that has bugs they should expect to be held accountable for those bugs if they halt customers ability to use the product as advertised.

There is no reason for giving out free days because some quests at the moment are acting up. People can still play the game, but because there are some minor problems they demand that they get free stuff when there are countless people that have yet to get into the damn game due to shoddy customer service (myself and many more.)

Yes it sucks that you cannot finish the quest line or whatever but from their point of view it does not matter because they see that you are still accessing their servers so you still have to pay or whatever. I would rather deal with the buggy quests that people are going on about but Zeni is determined to block my access into the game (it seems.)

No, they can't, THAT is the issue. There are a number of critical bugs effecting progression into VR content. These have been going on for reportedly 7 days. That is a significant amount of time, hence my original post.

    on the box
    • 30 days of gametime included

It is a selling point on the box of the game. Therefore it is NOT free. It is INCLUDED with purchase

YES ! Compensate to players on the lost time, or there will truly be angry mob with valid reason to complain about you on every site that has anything to do with gaming.

But ffs fix the game first...

I agree that compensation is in order for players who have not been able to progress in game for a significant amount of time.

I'm not impacted, but this is a 100% fair request. A day or two is one thing, a week plus is another.

You wont get anything out of this, Massages across tamriel have always been buggy even from Beta, and they have not fixed it yet so dont hold your breath a fix for all these wont come anytime soon ( yes my character is blocked from progress to )
I have tried to contact Support but they keep roleplaying in the freaking answers and not answering the questions at all.

I just want this fixed at this point so i can play the game for the remaining days i have and not sitting offline hoping for a fix but is i said...wont hold my breath.

    edit:
You would think a compensation would be fitting but they wont, one day they will patch all these and just ignore everyone whos spend days stuck and letting thier gametime run.

I'm stuck with a quest that can not be abandoned, force-restarted, or done.
You know. "Messages Across Tamriel" -- the one that lets you progress to the VR content.

Oh so now you are here again thinking you know how EU laws work. I thought you were pretty well put in your place when you made dumb comments on Early Access. You are either a Zenimax employee or the biggest troll on this forum.

But hell let us state it again since you do not understand how things work. When I pay for a product everything in said product is included. This includes the early access and the first 30 days gametime. NOWHERE does it state that either the early access or the first 30 days of gametime are a bonus that you may or may not get. It is included in the transaction.

A game this size will have bugs yes. There is no issue in having bugs. But even then it is reasonable to expect the main quest to at least always be tested and working. Even if it fails it is completely *** that people get stuck several days on the same quest. Hell even putting GMs at the choke points (and yes we all know where) and manually helping people out would do wonders.

But instead of helping you just get a cold: We are working on it without feedback from Zenimax. That is just stupid. So SIGNED!

It is a free 30 days. You payed for the game, along with that, you're given a free 30 days unlimited access (after that you must pay sub).

If it's included in the price, how come there's not an option to buy the game without the 30 days? Wouldn't that just mean you've paid for this months sub AND the game if it's included in the price? Why didn't they just say you had to start the game with a sub fee after early access? Makes no sense.

*sigh* Honestly maybe you should just go look at the ESO online store.

So what is included is 30 days of game time. Not free 30 days. You get game time.
Do you want to try again?

I can live with a few broken quests, I can come back and do it later, but I dont accept that both my chars are bugged, one cant summon the mount, and support just told me it will be fixed in a future patch, my other char is stuck/invisible, both chars have been bugged for 5 days now. I havent been able to pvp, just get an never ending loading screen, and now the bank is broken, 40 slots gone, all items, all the gold, same thing there, wait for a future patch, so no, I wont make another alt, bet that one will get bugged in some way too, plus the support with the copy/paste replies, that dont have anything at all to do with my tickets.. so I removed my sub, and will wait for them to sort the game out, then I will play it, not before.
