Unknown error as a result of resolving unknown error?

Greetings.
I have noticed there was a patch/maintenance for the EU server today, meant to fix or limit the "unknown error" DC many people were getting - tho I wasn't, ran into it I'd say 3-4 times since the start for Early acces, but today I keep getting thise "unknown error" and being returned to login screen every 5-10 minutes, making it virtually unplayable.
- Edit: Not using any addons, never used any, so that cannot be the problem.

Since I didn't have any problem whatsoever untill today, I would imagine it is connected to the patch, could someone tell me about possible fix or at least what was changed, because whether it fixed the problem or not for people experiencing it untill now, it most definitely broke it for me.

I can't help with what the patch did but it has not repaired the original problem. I had an email from the support team telling me it had been fixed but nothing has changed. I have owned the game for 3 days so far and been able to play about 3 hours. The 'Unknown Error' seems to be spreading though so you just probably the latest victim.

I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for a fix, it is clear that they don't have a clue what it is and this is likely to take a while to find, if at all. It just comes down to your patience and how long you are prepared to wait until you give up and ask for a refund.

I think what makes it so difficult is that everyones issues don't seem to match. I am playing on a Mac and for me I can log in if I create a new character and play the prison intro or if I am in a small instanced area such as the crypt on Stonefalls but as soon as I try to enter into Auridon or Stonefalls from either the zone i am in or the character screen I just get the long loading screen followed by the disconnect. It is something about those areas, they are just to big or something.

I am going to give them some time but I am not prepared to pay any subscription charges so they have about 27 days. Ill still come back probably in a few months time once they figured it out.

@Tightywhites Well, I was not able to really do much during the late afternoon, but now in the evening and upon changing map, it was mostly ok, in about 3 hours I got 2 errors, both on looting, which makes me speculate that it could actually be tied to number of people in the area. Of course I don't know why would it start today of all days, since I already played over a week without any errors.

Refund is out of the question tho, I came to love the game itself way, way too much to not play it. I noticed many complaints are along the lines of "I payed you 70€ gimme game or I'll sue ya!", but in my case it's more of a "I need to play more! Cheese and cabbage! *tears out hair*", haha.

But yes, I'll hope it's something that will be around only around the launch and disappear soon. All things considered, it's still relatively smooth launch, for me anyway, quests people call bugged I ccompleted without any problems, no disconnects, excellent performance - I guess it was about time The hammer of angry (because he's not a god yet) Talos hit me too.

For the last to days the problem was a minor inconvenience but i could get in on the second or 3rd try after an error but alas today im not getting in at all

The next day after I posted this, it seemed like it fixed itself, but starting last night, I'm getting unknown-error-ed again, quite a lot. I really wish I at least knew what excatly the problem is.

Has anyone had any luck with this error? I have tried all the fixes and port openings that were suggested and still nothing. I haven't been able to log in after the prison and its like this since early access. I'm at the point of just trying to get a refund.
