I think the login rewards could possibly serve a double purpose. The obvious one is to encourage daily logins, driving up daily login numbers, one of the key metrics for the success of the game.

The other, though, might be to get people to pause long enough at the login screen to actually look at the giant Crown Store ads there. I'm not saying it's the best or most effective idea in the world, just that the intention might have been to make our "first stop" in the game each day to pick up the rewards and glance at the ads. If you get the rewards by closing the window without looking at it, that might go against the intent.

YOU CAN REMOVE LEADERBOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS? holy crap. 1.1k hours in and TIL. that's a life changer. 99% of my notifications are vma/vtrial clears from the collective 900+ people i share guilds with. especially during the wrothgar event lol. the other 1% are MoTD updates.

Wanting you to at least log in is definitely a goal. Making getting busy with actually doing something keep you from getting a reward is the annoying part.

I have plenty to do. Some of forgetting it is dues to the extra messages in that area. Some is because I just got distracted, mostly with crafting dailies and hunting skyshards these days, though I have also started several new characters.

I am glad the login bonuses arent automatic. There are certain parts of the game i wont have anything to do with... Anything that looks like an eso equivalent of easter (mara's chicken for example) halloween or christmas (indriks are reindeer for reals).

I deliberately refuse to accept item from those events. When they gave us all the psijic mansion i deleted my account because they refused to remove that cathederal from my account on both servers. i esp felt stupid that time because it hadnt occured to me that it was arranged like a cathederal. When someone mentioned it i was stunned i had missed that but then i really am not so familiar with such things.

Anyway, please dont give us things automatically or i will have to quit playing forever.

    ummmm... What?

    Seriously?

You will quit the game if the company keeps giving you free stuff? Instead of ignoring or even deleting stuff you don't want, you would quit the game? They gave you a house... that you don't want.... and you can't just ignore it?

So if you see a login that you don't want, you stop collecting logins for the rest of the month, even if there is something you may want later in the month.

    I don't get it

What I would like to see is a way to rearrange my collections so I can keep what I use often at the top and the stuff I don't use at the bottom.

Login and make sure to collect them?

    Why is this a post?

It's a post because the OP knew they had logged in but just didn't collect them everyday like they could have. They're not saying they should get them retroactively, or ZoS owes them. Would it be nice to login and not have to collect the rewards every day? Yes it would. Some days I don't want to mess with the rewards, or I've logged onto the wrong alt and I don't want to either take the time to transfer the reward to the correct alt later, or log in to the other alt just to have the reward where I want it.

I still make sure to collect the rewards everyday, but it would be easier if I could just collect them when I felt like during that month.

Is it really that hard to put the non-collections in the bank, and pull it out for the character you want to have it at a time you are playing that character? Collections are not an issue. Doesn't matter which character gets that log in.

Last time i logged in and didn't claim, i was able to claim it the following day and after logging in with a different char, i was able to claim the actual reward.

    Dunno if they changed that.

You can retrieve the reward on any character and (usually) they are either account wide or can be put in your bank and tf to your other characters. So WHICH one you login on shouldn't matter with most rewards.

And yes - the days don't cycle at midnight, so to speak. They don't cycle when the dailies resets do - they cycle more than halfway through the NEXT Day.

For example - I'm in US CST. For me, the daily login rewards cycle at 7pm CST. So if I login at 9pm on Friday I get one login reward, and 9pm on Saturday I get the next. BUT if I login on Saturday at 2pm I get Friday's login reward, Saturday at 9pm gets me Saturday's login reward. Hell, I can login at 6:30 and get one daily reward and 32 minutes later get the next day's. The COUNTDOWN TIMER on the daily reward lets you see this very easily.

So it is very possible, and easy, to get TWO Login rewards in ONE day. You do NOT actually have to login every day. You can login every two days and get both if you time it right.

And that's all the leeway this is ever going to give you. Its not a "Weekly Login Reward." Its not a "x3 a week login reward" and its not a "Monthly Catchup" reward.

So asking for "daily" login rewards to not be daily is missing the entire point and won't happen.

I'm just glad I can miss a day when I'm busy after work and still not "miss a login reward day" if I put a bit extra effort in the next day to login a bit early to get it before it cycles.

And while sure, it might be a nice QoL to have it auto-accept when you login vs. clicking a button - but c'mon now... (in South Park voice) "I mean..come..on.". If you forget its because you skipped the leader/store page where the single button is RIGHT THERE to click on. If you turn off the "leaderboard" because its annoying you and then forget- well that's on you, because you turned off the exact thing meant to remind you as soon as you login to click a button and get a reward.

You're getting a daily button reminder that takes two seconds to push at login and then close the window - if that's too hard, I don't know what to say. There's handholding and QoL and then there's just spoiled whining just to have something to whine about.

I’d like to point out also that Not Everyone wants all the daily reward crap or want to collect on Specific toon....so having it Automatically put into their inventory would also be inconvenient...
Sooo..if you want what they are giving make a point of Collecting it...just like the ppl who make a point of doing the Mount leveling Daily Writs etc etc etc...

No I did not know. I don't PvP much at all, nor do I want to. I will be pushed to do some for a few skills, but that is all.

The "single button" is not quite single, it does take several clicks to reach. It is also at the END of a list of stuff I really didn't need to see most times. (Though I am turning off leaderboard stuff across my characters, so perhaps that will help.)

Not horrible, but I will repeat: It is a DAILY LOGIN reward not a DAILY CLAIM reward.

Any character can access them from the bank...….. although I believe the AP rewards count on the character that retrieved them as far as levelling is concerned....

I have a character whose inventory is only used for log-in rewards BUT I never actually collect them on her...… I collect on my main and just deposit in bank and withdraw on her :)

    Checklist for alts:

    -Turn on swearing

    -Turn off leaderboards announcements

    -Turn on auto-decline duels

-Turn on 'no attacking innocents' (though it is funny to have your lvl 3 character murdered in Rawl'kha in front of 30 people because you were accidentally on the wrong bar and pressed ambush instead of maneuver)

-Fix nameplates / healthbars / everything else

-Rebind hotkeys. There a lot of useful ones I didn´t touch at first, like turning nameplates and hp bars on-off (on is useful when pvping, look a bit silly when questing).

I want this client side. :(

As for the OP, it takes like 5 seconds to get the reward. Literally. This is pushing it a few kilometres into entitlement territory.

Yep. I do pretty much the same for every new char.

i also remap the C-key to O-Key to stop inadvertently opening the character screen, when trying to PRESS X.
I also remap the G-key to toggle between walking and running

I swap the binding for Collections (U to R) with Ultimate (R to U) so I don't waste my Ultimate every two minutes. The default binding of Ultimate to R has the be the dumbest default binding in the history of dumb default bindings.

As for logins accruing, the OP should get real. They are LOGIN rewards. It's not rocket science.

I use the 6-key for ultimates.
I use U-key for toggling the User Interface for screenshots.

The NEXT daily REWARD remains there until collected. If that is more than twenty-four hours, then it's the rewards at the end of the month that you miss out on, as you run out of 24-hour periods. The next reward in the list becomes available in the next reward window. This fits with all other ZOS cooldown functions.

There is a POP UP WINDOW with a TIMER that shows when the next REWARD can be claimed at the earliest. You have to close this window to proceed. You can opne it again from the ANNOUNCEMENT option.

SERIOUSLY: Apart from coming to your home and Pressing the E-Key for you, ZOS has actually already done everything possible to ensure that you get the reward. They even make the last 5 or 7 days low-value rewards of the same item to ensure that what you DO miss out on is useless anyway.

In case it wasn't clear in the OP:

I logged in every day. I didn't always collect the reward, mostly because of the amount of spam masking it. It is a "login" not "login and collect" reward as many noted above.

Other games do account for the login rather than the collection, letting you gather several days at once.

Not too much lost, but annoying since I met the state requirements of logging in.
    • Your post was clear about logging in every day. After that, it was a confusing rant.
    • No, you must actively CLAIM the reward. Claim is the word they use.
    • This is not one of those other games.
    • You would have only lost the last rewards for the month, which by design, are exactly for people like you who fail at being able to follow a metaphoric bouncing ball.

Dont you get this window with all the new stuff in the crownstore once you login? At least on the console you can also pick up the login reward right at that window. So instead of clicking it away take the one sec to claim your reward.

Ras Kalik the Vestige, a renown Redguard warrior; He has been blessed to save Tamriel from Molag Bal’s destructive Planemeld while reuniting the Five Companions. His further accomplishments after defeating Molag Bal, has been to stop the destruction of Morrowind, the Clockwork City, return order to the isle of Summerset and create a new king in Wrothgar and a queen in Elsywer. These events have made him a living legend and continue to lead him into new adventures throughout Tamriel, as well as into the hearts of many ladies including the Elf Queen, Aryenn. Over many years of adventurous travels, Ras Kalik had become a loner, until he re-visited his homeland of Alik'r.

Alik'r and it's cities were overrun by the undead Ra-Netu and therefore he made an allegiance with Alik'r's own Ash'abah tribe. These Ash'abah with his help, cleansed the city of Sentinel in Alik'r desert and it's surrounding areas of the undead brought to life by the Withered Hand. After rescuing Sentinel from the undead zombies, King Fahara’jad’s personal bodyguard the Goliath of Hammerfell, who was given this name by Imperials in the region; was asked to assist the tribe after learning of the defeat of the Withered Hand to the Ash'abah. Kalik promised Goliath he would task him with fighting living enemies on the battlefield if he so desired. Goliath being a Yokudan warrior wields a massive sword in respect to the Ansei, a gift given by the Imperial, Cinan Tharn. Not many soldiers are able to wield double two handed weapons, but Goliath loves to get up and personal in a fight, so he also carries a giant maul, both weapons laced with magical flames.

Jux Blackheart is a master thief that masquerades as a Bard at the Sisters of the Sands inn, with his younger sidekick Lucky Hunch for pilfering and gambling during this time. Jux was known to infiltrate any towns bank vault he came across and even delved into Ayelid ruins without detection. Kalik can vividly recall the night he met the famed thief. Jux found himself rummaging thru a slightly inebriated Kalik’s pocket for too long, on a full-mooned night and because of his greed and the glimmer of his golden armor in the moonlight. He lost his left pinky fingertip as a lesson! But in return, he gained a new friend, as it was his first time since a child being caught red-handed...

Upon arrival back in the Alik'r after many moons of adventuring, Ras Kalik ventures to Bergama. Visiting The Winking Jackal, he runs into Jux Blackheart, who introduces him to the coin game Crowns vs Forebearers (Heads vs Tails) and Golden Dwemer (RBG).... Jux constantly takes gold from the unfortunate thru theft or gambling, his biggest gambling victim is actually his partner in crime known as Lucky Hunch the Gambler. Lucky doesn't mind losing any gold coins to Jux... as Jux saved him from Altmer slavers in Summerset, by stealing a key and sending him on a boat to the mainland years prior. Lucky spent years in slavery with Khajiits in Summerset and picked up the art of subterfuge, using illusion magic disguises and stealing there.

Kaotik Von’Daemon an outcast, and a half-caste between a Breton mother and a Redguard father. Kaotik become a pariah due to his conjuration of Daedra pets. He was taught healing magic during his childhood years by his Breton mother. His father due to Redguard customs exiled him from the desert, sending him by wagon caravan to be a soldier in the war in Cyrodiil. He happened to meet Kalik while traveling from Alik'r, during this long caravan ride the caravan he was in was ambushed in Bangkorai by a group of bandits. Kalik by chance was also traveling thru this area on his Auridon Warhorse (which was bestowed to him by his friend, Darien Gautier). During this ambush, Kalik was able to rescue five hostages from the bandits. Kaotik was the first rescued, and Ras Kalik also recruited him to be in the Ash'abah tribe. These core Ash'abah tribesmen may never be seen together in travel as they partake in their own adventures but they always know what each other is doing; as they frequent a hideout in northern Bankorai. Their hideout an old Orc castle ruin, is kept watch by Nuzhimeh and she passes messages written between them, and frequently they also enjoy her company and her bed.

The other men rescued were a Dunmer banker, an Imperial mercenary and two other soldiers, an Imperial and a Breton Knight, stating proudly he was an Akavir descendent. One of the Imperials, Cinan, claimed to be related to Abnur Tharn the Battlemage of the Imperial Elder Council (One of Ras Kalik's mentors in the Five Companions). Cinan Tharn was really Abnur's drunkard treasure hunting illegitimate son. He was caught smuggling artifacts out of the Ayleid ruins in Cyrodiil and the elder of the two Imperials was Tyrus Septim a retired Imperial navy battle-mage (now a Lycan mercenary living in the city of Rimmen) and guard to the Tharn family. As much as Abnur Tharn hated his half-sister Euraxia, he dislikes his bas†ard son Cinan more. Tyrus now a ruffian and privateer had been paid by Abnur Tharn to watch over Cinan as much as possible. Cinan Tharn a drunkard, loves to drink at least a quarter barrel of Nord mead before he raids various delves and dungeons for relics to sell on the black market. Cinan also plans to one day, run an illegal gambling ring... which he thinks will net him more gold for his wares.

The Dunmer captive shackled to the Imperials looked familiar to Kalik from his time in Morrowind.... and he recognized him as Tythis Andromo a House Telvanni slave-owner and banker from Vvardenfell. During a rough interrogation to Tythis, Ras Kalik learnt why the bandits accosted him. The racist Dunmer was providing slaves as soldiers for the Three Banner War. The bandits were trying to negotiate a lucrative ransom for Andromo and the Imperials.... Kalik did not need any of this gold and he could never set Tythis free as he did with the two Imperial soldiers. His past involvement with slavery and war crimes, made Kalik's blood boil. He chose not to execute Tythis, as he figured the worse punishment for this former rich and opulent slave owner, is to now be an imprisoned servant for Ras Kalik and the tribe.

Herzog Zwei the Genesis a reknown Imperial/Akavirri battle-mage. His roots going back to Akavir through his mother’s bloodline. (His mother is descended from the Akaviri, through Versidue-Shae, and his Imperial father met her in Hakoshae, while traveling) Herzog earned the nickname "the Genesis" from his father as a child, as he was his mother's first born child, and last, as she tragically died in child-birth.

Herzog was seeking to purchase an artifact from Cinan Tharn, before their capture and was meeting Tyrus while in Rimmen, who introduced him to Cinan. This artifact being the Ayelid artifact; the sword Sinweaver. After their rescue and the exchange of gold to Cinan for the sword he decided to slip away before Ras Kalik could question who he was, and why the Akavir descendant really wanted that sword. Herzog was headed to Nagastani — An Ayleid ruin in eastern Cyrodiil. He had read in scrolls that the Sword would give him magical powers to meet his mothers spirit, if he performed an Ayleid ritual at an old shrine hidden there. Equipped with the artifact sword, he was off to start his own adventure but Ras Kalik, did indeed notice the sword however and instead sent a letter to Jux Blackheart (whom also was interested in Ayleid treasures), to attempt to find Herzog and acquire the sword. (*Azani Blackheart in Elder Scroll's Oblivion is Jux's descendant some 747 years later)

And so the Redguard, Imperial and Akaviri men parted ways ... While Ras Kalik went off to Elsweyr to encounter the latest threat to Tamriel, with Abnur Tharn and Sai Sahan - - DRAGONS!! Little did Ras Kalik know a few people were awaiting him in Senchal besides Sai. A necromancer survived his attack on the Withered Hand, while in Alik'r. The necromancer known as Auriek Siet'ka is also following him to the land of the Khajiits and Cacique the Sage of Ius a Shaman mystic who has become attuned spiritually with Tu'whacca (a Redguard God) and Ius (the Animal God), after being burned severely by the escaped dragons in Elsywer, is awaiting his arrival also. Aurik is a soldier of the Daggerfall Covenant that was introduced to necromancy while in the military, even though this magicka art is not spoken of openly by most of the Military leaders. He came to Alik'r and worked with the Withered Hand before Ras Kalik intervened on their plans. After the defeat of the Withered Hand, he aligned with the Worm Cult, and is constantly adapting and perfecting his necromantic arts.

After his journey to Rimmen, Kalik heads south to Senchal, in the southern regions of Elyswer. This new adventure will also put him on a path to meet a strange Redguard man. The stranger which was infected with an untreated Peyrite disease and also was the exiled from the Order of the New Moon cult, due to his sickness. He originally joined the cult to worship Laatvulon, the green dragon, mistakenly thinking it was the Daedric prince Peyrite. This confused and suffering cultist is known as Tsar al-Bomba and he is on a path to spread the disease. He was originally infected in Orccrest while recruiting members there. Can Ras Kalik and the shaman Cacique cure this poor soul, only time will tell. Little does Tsar al-Bomba know, that his infection is tied to Vampirism, and eventually the desire for blood will take over his mind. Senchal also offers Kalik his latest love interest... Aeliah. Whom he fondly led thru battles with the Dragonguard.

After the trek thru the heat, tropical and desert climate of Northern and Southern Elyswer, Ras Kalik heads north to the cold mountain range of Skyrim. His companion friend Lyris beckons for him with a letter sent by crow...

Movárth Piquine - a former vampire hunter (now infected), within the Fighter's Guild (and a secretive necromancer) was in Skyrim working with the Morthaal Guard. On a patrol mission he was caught in Frewien's ice curse outside of Morthaal with the frozen undead. Movárth's vampiric infection kept him from becoming an undead minion to the curse. He was able to use necromantic ice-magic to encase himself safely until he was freed with Freiwen, when the Vestige Ras Kalik broke the curse.

Uri Ice-Heart - brother of Urfon Ice-Heart. The twin sons of Atli and Oljourn Ice-Heart. The Ice-Heart family are originally from Markarth but now reside on the Jerall Mountain range near Cyrodiil, with their younger sister Araki. The twins had joined the Winterborn Reachmen while living in Markarth. Urfon pushed west to Orsinium with the Winterborn Clan, leaving his family behind. Uri stayed behind with his parents and sister to live in the family cabin for safety, avoiding the Vampire plague infiltrating the Reach. After news reaches him and he hears of Urfon's death... Uri leaves and heads home and is seeking vengeance. Meanwhile, his sister has also moved on to Windhelm to join the Fighter's guild. He will visit his sister, once before going to seek vengeance and she will craft him armor mixed with ice, called Stalhrim armor. Uri fearing death, after his brother's passing, falls victim to the convincing talk of Movárth at a Nordic tavern, and will also becomes a vampire.

@barney2525 if you read between the lines the issue isn't free stuff - it's stuff that can have some sort of religious connotation (oh NOoOoOoooOOOOooOoo!!)

The mansion because it looks like a cathedral :grimace:

I don't get the reindeer though, I mean they are used in Christmas pictures, but they're completely real animals. You don't see them having an issue with horses because the 3 wise men rode em...

There's another point here that's getting missed. There's no way to skip something you don't want. If you don't collect an item, it remains the "next" one until you do, and some can't simply be collected and destroyed.

Yes. I have no interest in the camel. I wish I could just skip that day and miss the camel but still collect the riding lessons which will be nice for Necro.

    That's weird.

Every Fantasy game has religious connotations. From blood sacrifices, to demon worship, to Divine entities and Paladins, etc etc.

If you want to be devoid of religious aspects, you need to play something like SIM City, where you can control everything.

This is science FICTION. It's not real. So, to all who may be offended by some sort of religious aspect, please remember that this game world does not actually exist in real life. There is Nothing wrong with a CHARACTER owning a home that is Huge.

To be perfectly honest, I have the big house and the thought that it was a "cathedral" has never crossed my mind. Because it's not. It's a *** house. And that's all it is. To make more of it is just instigating.
