Does the Gap closers change have an effect on Streak?

Simple question, unfortunately I'm a console pleb and can't access PTS.
It says changed Gap closers so that the snare was removed, does this include the root that streak forces upon it's user when used? Is it now more fluid?
I understand the system snare is the thing being changed, but the wording sounded hopeful.
