The new Nature's Grasp and Mend Wounds are making my support/dps bow/bow stamina Warden fun again.

I guess stamina support Wardens were using Nature's Grasp before the changes, but, for me, it was off my radar because it was a Magicka skill (I wish I wouldn't have overlooked this before). So, I tried it out on the PTS to see what it was like and I have to say, it kind of fixes almost everything that wasn't working for me when trying to heal on my stamina Warden. During dragon fights, I was having a blast shooting around from player to player hitting them with Nature's grasp and vigoring, mushrooming, and icing bodies as needed. The mobility combined with the single target nature of the skill suits this heal style perfectly. The problem of not being able to burst heal anyone from a distance was strugglesome before, so I'm glad to be reintroduced to this skill again; It's EXACTLY what I needed! Now it's even better for stam Wardens, seemingly healing for twice as much as before due to it scaling to our highest resources. Although, because it is still a magicka skill, I cannot cast it all the time, but I'm finding that it's fine for how much I actually need to cast it. It's just honestly a lot of fun.

Nature's Grasp aside, I also tried out the new Mend Wounds. I didn't really understand what the changes were from the PTS notes (I guess they were over my head a little). So, after testing it, it seems to no longer cost Magicka to cast! In fact it costs nothing at all to cast and gives magicka back on heavy attack/heal. I've wanted to use this skill on my Stamina Warden since the first time I tried it out and now I can and... it... is... awesome. It feels faster and punchier than before. I like that I can return Magicka back for more Nature Grasps/buffing. I like the range and the precision. I was having so much fun with it... that I put it to use on my Magicka support Necro and will try it out on my Sorc and Nightblade healers today because they also lack good single target healing (I hate the Sorc twilight pet requiring two bars to slot and how it's always off beating up mobs across the room from me, doing its own thing, and I hate constantly killing myself with Malevolent Offering on my Nightblade). So, anyways, yes. Maybe Mend wounds for all of thems as well.

I have to mention, though, there is one thing about Mend Wounds that is bothering me. I feel like the toggle should only work for the bar it's on. It's uncomfortable switching to my DPS bar and not being able to light attack weave. It's uncomfortable having to click off the toggle first in order to do so. I think Mend Wounds would feel much better if it could remain toggled on... on one bar, and when switching bars, it doesn't add the healing to the second bar; I should be able to light attack weave as normal. However, when switching back, the toggle should still remain on, so there is no reclicking the toggle just to shoot out heals again. This would feel much smoother to me: Heally light and heavy attacks on one bar, normal dpsing on the other. Hopefully that can be improved upon in the future.

One question. Can Mend Wounds heavy attack be bashed? Based on patch notes I'd say no because it is said to be a regular heavy attack like any other. But one can never know for sure in this game.

Nature's grasp is awesome on stamhealer wardens now. Versus live, the projectile is faster and it heals for over twice as much on a stam character.

    That would be amazing.

I don't know, but do you want to bash away your heal?

It heals for so little compared to live I doubt you would need to worry about bashing the caster in pvp.

Natures grasp has been my magwarden favourite skill for a while, the mobility and incredible HoT are great.

Cant wait for this on stamwarden, though part of me feels that this was the wrong ability to 'scale off max stats' the HoT is so strong, paired with vigor and the major mending you get, i think it could be way over the top.

I meant some nice synergy with Molten Armaments, Elegant set and Blackrose Resto. But if it's bashable, it isn't even worth considering. That's why I am asking.

If possible can someone with access to the PTS get a tooltip screenshot of this? (On a stam char)

Would be interesting to see what kind of HoT stam version get.

If someone does take the time to do this, would you be so kind to also mention what kind of stam/damage and buffs you had active while testing.

    Thanks

I never get these questions, it doesnt say much because of the wide applications of various buffs. I could be only one but I much prefer this way of comparing it:

It heals for 88% more health than vigor (but over 10s than 5s)
Bursting Vines (the burst heal on target morph) heals for 25% less than Vigor.

Well ideally id be looking for a screenshot with just brutality up. Im aware there are alot of buffs that will effect it. Hense asking to list applied buffs of a screenshot if someone had the time to do it, so id be aware what was actually effecting it.

Im not after a screenshot when you have major mending and whatever else up, continuous or berserker glyph ect active cause theyre not up 100% of the time.

But on live currently, its not difficult to get a 20-25k vigor, so from your information if my vigor is between 20-25k (buffed), then natures grasp i should expect to be in the range of 37600 - 47000 before crits.

i think this was a cool change for stamdens, but.... who asked for this? i don't think this was one of our pain points like "not being able to target bear with this ability" from a couple of patches ago. we have other issues ranging from big to small.
