A young Queen Ayrenn. Now we know why AD can never win campaigns in PVP. Just a bunch of stoners :)

whole class will be be nerf to ground when whining-mostly from pvp'ers starts to flow on forum

    same old,same old

bought Elsweyr to play the story, for Necromancer still undecided what to do

I dunno I suspect that hord of bad players will be so gimp at playing the Necro mecanis, especialy in PvP that many will feel they are weak and deserve a buff lol.

That's Ayrenn in her younger, more rebellious days.

The reason why I haven't purchased Elsweyr:

    Necromancers.

    But, for a different reason.

In every single Elder Scrolls game, Necromancers are frowned upon by most of the NPC community to the point where they are even shunned and have to resort to practicing and living in caves.

Yet, there will be Necromancers in every town, walking around freely, as if it is a normal occurrence and completely acceptable.

Great job on continuing to break TES lore once again Zenimax!

Oh, and they are bringing dragons back and had to make a story up to create the illusion it is "lore-friendly."

As a player of all of TES games, that is entirely upsetting to me.

But then again, it is an MMO and money is more important than keeping the lore-driven story straight.

So, Necromancy is FORBBIDEN in towns and cities in TES games. I agree with you there. But if the Necromancer is not conjuring his minions or putting curses on people, how can you tell? In all the skill descriptions it says that it's frowned upon to cast these in cities. Nothing wrong with Necro Lore there. They don't practice it in cities, people don't know. You could make a Necro in the games but you were never chased out. Stop trying to make something out of nothing. Guards don't have an Addon that tells them what class you are.

Everyone is crying about Necro and how it shouldn't be playable class, yet I have not seen one logical reason. Everyone is just trying to create drama out of nothing.

Yes Necro will be nerfed. Having a PTS where only some people test it won't be enough data. Everyone stop whining, if you are not buying Elsweyr because of the class then don't buy it or just don't play the class. Simple.

Of course an MMO will bend the lore in ways to create content, has been done before and will continue to do so in every MMO. Is this their fault? Probably not, because of whining playerbase wanting this and they have to appease to them to keep them inticed.
I am not an ESO fan-boy, I have my problems with this game but it is more down to actual gameplay of balancing and PvP stability.

    TL;DR
You are dumb if you are using Necro as an exuse to not play game.
Nerfs happen to every class. Deal with it.
Game is an MMO, Lore gets bent and twisted to appease playerbase.

For me, it goes a little deeper. I'm not interested in playing a Necromancer and a new class does nothing for my existing characters. Dragons are just the new dolmens. Getting to visit Elsweyr is cool, but that alone isn't worth buying a new Chapter for me. So, I'm more than happy to wait for it to go on a major sale before maybe picking it up.

Now, had they included a new independent skill line or a new crafting system, or anything that immediately benefits my existing characters, I would have been tempted to pick it up. Sadly, it's just devoid of significant features to make it worth it for me. Compare to Summerset which had both a new skill line and jewelry crafting. Or compare to Morrowind which didn't just bring a new class but also brought a completely new type of PvP with Battlegrounds.

    This.^

    Okay?

Every class gets buffed and nerfed in various patches as time goes on, such is the way of literally every MMO to ever exist.

Saying you don't want to play a Necromancer out of fear it'll be nerfed is like saying you don't want to play a Sorcerer out of fear they'll be nerfed. Classes, whether they're old or new doesn't make them immune to changes.

I'll be over here enjoying the Necromancer when it comes out.

I bought Elsweyr because I want to see Elsweyr. I don't care about anything else - new class, skill changes and etc. Any changes are crap for me. But the only thing I can do is to adjust.

What did they do to Wardens? I main a stam warden, I mostly PvE - should I be worried?

Technically there is only 1 Necromancer running around in towns and that's you..The Vestige..a.k.a..the main character..... according to the story. There aren't millions of vestiges running around. From a game point view it is because it's a MMO....but lore wise it's just you.

Same as defeating Molag Bal, or becoming the Dark brotherhood Silencer, saving Summerset, saving Morrowind, etc...etc.... it's really only just 1 person....you.

I've got 1 of each race except for Imperial. I'll be making an Imperial Necro.

After that, unless class change token becomes a thing in 2 years time (assuming the next chapter will be a skill line for all rather than class) I won't be all that excited for the chapter. Unless it adds a race as well.

I haven't purchased Elsewyr as I have no use for any of the pre-order guff.

That and I'll get it through my subscription anyway since I have so many crowns built up anyway.

Do bare in mind you can’t buy chapters with crowns.

Morrowind is a chapter and all of its related components are available in the crown store. I am pretty sure thats all chapters will become available in the crown store at some point in the future.

Well first of all I don't buy digital content before it's released. Second I'd like to see where this is going regarding performance on PCEU. As in no queues for login and better performance in general.

I might be thrilled over the necromancer at some point but as of now I just curbe my enthusiasm.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

At least they're more honest with these.

Wardens are a bait and switch scenario.

Judge the class on their lower level abilities and they're fine. But the higher level abilities are crammed full of buffs, which makes for a totally different and IMO not enjoyable style of play.

Necromancers are as advertised. I made sure to play a max level one on PTS to be sure.
I will wait until Necromancers have been nerfed to stamDK/stamplar before I buy Elsweyr.

Do ZOS deliberately overpower new classes to entice PvP'ers to buy them? Probably.

For a range of reasons I don't pvp in this game so I don't let that bother me.

But I'd say that ZOS nerf feel the most randoms. Like the nerf on NB heals on PTS. Did anyone ever cryied about NB beeing able to heal for too much ?

And many of the enrf are targeted to balance PvP but gimp PvE meanwhile and vice versa.

or just dont play a necromancer

Whats the point of buying the new expansion then?

The new irrelevant sets from elsweyr which wont change any setups for pve and pvp?
The dragon world bosses which will get boring after a bunch of days?
The new trial which you have to live with for the next full year? (and which will be cleared vetHM on the first day because ESO hard game Kappa)

If you wont play necro, might as well not buy it.
