Why wouldnt ESO be using SERVER TIME like WoW for example? Not comparing games, but it works very good for 100 times bigger playerbase, why wouldnt it work in ESO. Im tired of 10 time zones (including US) and figuring out if some country infact does not use summer time and crap like that. Lets face it, 99% of people do not remember from head differences between EDT, CET, CEST and such.

Funny enough, WoW's server time is based on location of certain hubs. I.E wyrmrest accord, moonguard and Emerald Dream server's time are identical to Blizzard's Texas Headquarters. Which is central time.
So still the same effect in the end.

I'm lucky, daughter lived in Germany from 1992 to 2010 so I got used to having a second clock in windows. I still use it - I set it to UTC, and if I'm a bit foggy about something going on with the servers, I check the UTC clock. It's not rocket science.

That is why ESO is using UTC. The time is constant and each local timezone is either + or - hours from it.
CEST is UTC +2. CET is +1
(acronyms for Central European Time and Central European Summer Time)
Those who do not know their timezone in relation to UTC are possible those living in caves, as is something taught at school on the significant majority of the countries. And especially in Europe, Africa and Asia when borders with neighbouring country have different timezones and the population moves around often.
True my father even at his 75 didn't had a clue, but our generation or 40-50 year olds do have a clue. And younger generations are used to it because they make friends globally.
